Can't get any better, really!, January 23, 2001
This review is from: We Laughed, We Cried: Life With Fibromyalgia (Paperback)
Of all the books I own, and I will own this soon, this book has remained one of the most influential book about Fibromyalgia. It is not full of "cures" or full of "must do's" to deal with this condition, but full of honest day to day dealing with Fibromyalgia. I own many books on the subject and I help others deal with this condition on a regular day and of all the books, this one helps the person "deal with life" the best. Thank you.

We Laughed, We Cried: Life with Fibromyalgia, July 6, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: We Laughed, We Cried: Life With Fibromyalgia (Paperback)
I purchased this book a few months ago and read it the same day. I laid it down on my desk, with no particular feelings.
I picked it up again today, to possibly sell it, and I could not quit reading. I found so much comfort in the words of those who, like me, are trying to find some kind of acceptance of Fibromyalgia, while still at times dealing with the anger of "a life drastically changed."
I was amazed that between the first reading and today, my perspective of this book is so different. I cannot even begin to think of being without it now, I absolutely related to the stories, thoughts, and poems more now than ever. I was looking for a miracle the first time and was in denial of this monster disease. Now, in rereading it, I totally understand the feelings and situations of everything that was written by the different people. It explains me and all of us...completely and thoroughly!!
The humor is refreshing also, brain fog can make for some very releasing laughter, in this book and in our "daily living" with Fibromyalgia. Above all, we need to learn acceptance. Sometimes you just want to cry.....but you need to laugh!! It is comforting to know we are not alone and to see our thoughts exactly... written down on paper by someone else. We all feel the same!!
Great Book!!
