My daughter is a "girly-girl" who loves ballet! We found this book over the summer. It was great preparing her to start ballet lessons in the fall. The book is about a little girl who loves ballet. It shows her in ballet class, shopping for ballet shoes, reading bedtime fairy tales with her mommy, and then preparing for her recital. The photos are up to date and really make the book. Any little girl would love this story!

My daughter, 3, loves this book. I wish there were more books like this. Books about real kids doing normal things that use photographs of kids instead of animal characters. My daughter really relates to the photos and situations in the book. Good for any little girl who is interested in ballet!

I bought this after my 3 year old's first ballet lesson and she just loves this book. We read it every night, although I just give her the gist of the story instead of reading all the words because she likes to talk about what she sees and ask questions on each page, too. She likes to point out each girl that has a pink or blue leotard just like hers, and find which one is Ursala on every page, etc. I think it has helped her understand what her teacher is asking them to do, as well. I can help her position her arms and legs like the girls in the picture until she can do it by herself, whereas the teacher doesn't really walk around and do that in her class. The girls' tutu's on the cover and back of the book are textured, she likes to touch them, and it helps her understand the recital outfits are special.

My 6 yr old loves this book, and it's been a favorite book on her nightstand for a little while now. She loves ballet, and this book is perfect for her. In this book, a little girl who loves ballet goes to ballet class for the first time, and she learns all about music and balance, and gets to shop for ballet slippers for the first time, and even puts on her first ballet recital! It is very sweet and very appropriate for little dancers. I've given it as a baby gift to some of my friends because the photos are engaging and the story is fun to read out loud. I've heard that their babies liked it! So I think this book is good for as young as infants to as old as 6 yrs old.

Not my 3 year old daughter's favorite but she thumbs through it often enough to make it a worthwhile purchase. She is taking dance and saw this book when I was browsing and asked for it. It was "affordable" so I got it for her.

My nieces are 7 and 3 and both of them LOVE this book! The pictures are great and so is the story.

I bought this for my 3 yr old who just started ballet. I bought on the recommendations of other Amazon buyers and I agree; it is a great book for you child.

This is a informative book for little children who like ballet. Very enjoyable pictures that give ideas about what ballet class and a recital looks like.

We love the book, but it arrived in the mail as is without an envelope. So, if it was in good condition before we received it we would not know. It came to our doorstep stained and crumpled.
