Finding Your True North!,

This review is from: We Met at Starbucks: A Love Story (Paperback)
On my quest for a light summer read, I could not resist the urge to purchase "We Met at Starbucks: A Love Story." I'm a hopeless romantic, and this little paperback (a mere 73 pages) was the perfect book to enjoy on a lazy pre-summer afternoon.
Written with alternating "he said/she said" chapters, Eric and Kelly Jo reminisce about the days leading up to their first meeting...culminating with their whirlwind romance after a brief meeting at Starbucks. I dare even the most cynical reader to finish their story and not believe that true love still exists! To locate the perfect example of True North, put away your compass and purchase a copy of "We Met at Starbucks: A Love Story." Dee Marie

This book made me laugh, it made me cry. It is a shining example that true love exists and it gave me hope. It is a beautiful account of two people meeting and falling in love. I highly recommend it!

A Shot of Hope,

This review is from: We Met at Starbucks: A Love Story (Paperback)
If life is pressing in and you are too tired to read yet another self-help book or heavy memoir, if you need to both laugh and shed a tear, if you long to believe again that the deep pains and struggles of life are preparation for the joys to come, if you want to meet two beautiful, scarred, optimistic, delightful people and share a few gentle hours with them, then "We Met at Starbucks" is a must read. Using alternating voices, we learn about all that has brought Eric and Kelly to the point where they set forth, searching for new love and new life. It's an old story with a 21st century--the internet and Starbucks.

Heartening and Hopeful....,

Anyone who has been involved in the online dating scene, or (in my case) KNOWS someone who has been involved in the online dating scene, will get a renewed sense of hope from this book. There IS life after divorce and tragedy. The things that happen in your life that seem like setbacks, are actually just stepping stones to a fuller life.
This book is a reinforcement of one of my core beliefs: You are where you are because you are supposed to be there. You never know what the Universe has planned for you, and you can't rush things. In the meantime, enjoy the journey. Learn from it. Life (capital "L") will place you where you need to be when you need to be there. Good book. And real-life sign of hope to anyone who has had their fill of "experiments" in the online dating scene. View every step is a learning experience, and eventually you will find what you are looking for. Hang in there. :)

Love; a drug more powerful than caffeine,

This review is from: We Met at Starbucks: A Love Story (Paperback)
"We Met at Starbucks" is a quick and delightful read that inspires all those looking for love as well as those looking to rediscover love. While on the surface it is a story of how two people came together, the story also reveals deeper truths about life as the authors summon the courage to share their vulnerabilities in life. It is inspiring to know that even with all our faults, there are people out there who love us for who we are in our hearts, both in our triumphs and disappointments. If you are looking for a quick read with some amusing insights into dating these days this is a great book to pick up.
