Engaging album,

This review is from: We Must Carry on (Audio CD)
This is my favorite Rita Marley album with great melodic songs like I Know A Place, Serious Time with its message of peace in times of strife, Bob Marley's Who Colt The Game and a lovely interpretation of the Gibb Brothers' To Love Somebody.Three different producers worked on the album, making for variation and diversity, especially on songs like Earth Runnings and Dem A Fight. The production is professional and sympathetic throughout, bringing out the best in her voice. Her falsetto style is beautifully displayed on Just One More Morning and on the bubbly Special Rhythm. I love Rita, Marcia Griffiths and Judy Mowatt, and this is one album that proves why. Essential for fans and would also serve as a great introduction to anyone wishing to investigate this legendary Jamaican singer.
