About the Author

A committee consisting of Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Robert Livingstone, and Roger Sherman was appointed to draft the declaration of independence. Thomas Jefferson was charged with the actual writing of the document. After making several changes to Jefferson’s original draft, Congress voted unanimously to adopt the Declaration of Independence.

The Constitution of the United States of America was drafted chiefly by James Madison, considered to be “The Father of the Constitution” for his major contributions to the document.

Review: This little book is simple and straightforward and should be in every home library. I have enjoyed it immensely and have been surprised at how often I find myself reviewing it. If you ever wanted to know what the founding fathers were all about, this is the book to read. As Americans, and you can never go wrong with your own copy of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and our Bill of Rights. It makes you respect our ancestors and want to carry on in their footsteps.

Beautiful little book(almost booklet) about Our Rights here in Our Beautiful Country,We don't need no ACLU to define wrongly what our rights are or any other special interest groups, I brought this knowing that the new admin will trample my rights,Know your rights as A American whether Native or Citizen. It's not hard to understand, very patriotic.
