We bought 124 sq. ft. of these for the floor of our children's playroom, since it was hardwood floors and we wanted something cushy that wasn't ugly. I must say . . . WOW! These are perfect. Everyone thinks they are hardwoods until they walk on them. They even nearly match the hardwoods at the threshold. We lined the floor with a plastic drop cloth in case of sippy cup leaks or spills. I am so glad I found these! And fabulous customer service from We Sell Mats!!! So happy with the entire experience!

Purchased this wood grain foam floor tile and installed in our tv room after pulling up some horrible old carpet. Must say that I absolutely LOVE IT! The sub-floor is a concrete slab and we live in a wintery northern state. As soon as the carpet came up, you could feel the icy cold seeping up from the concrete. We installed the foam tiles and instantly the room was quieter, and warmer! They do a great job of insulating - which is why we chose this route. To refloor 200 square feet for under $200 - what a deal! Cheap carpet would have cost 3 times as much, carpet squares almost twice as much (without the comfort and insulation factor).

Installation for our 200 sq ft room took about 3 hours. I did it by myself (husband was working) with some help from my 10 year old son (he loved putting the rows together while I cut edges). With two adults, it would probably go much faster. I had to cut tiles on one edge to make it fit, but it went quickly with a sharp utility knife. There were some compound cuts in corners and at a closet entrance, but not hard. The foam is pretty forgiving (much more so than wood or ceramic!)To finish things off, I picked up a transition piece for the threshold at Lowe's.

After installation, I did walk on a tile with stilletto high heel shoes. (I had an extra tile just in case it caused any permanent damage.) I wanted to see how the tiles would take that kind of "pointed" traffic. There were very real dent marks left in the tiles from the heels, but they disappeared after a couple of hours. I have decided no more stillettos on that floor, but it seemed like a worthy test to see how the tiles would hold up to real traffic. Regular shoe traffic does not seem to cause a problem, but socks are probably the best choice.

A few things that I didn't see in the reviews before I purchased:

The pattern is not repetitive and is pretty varied (both good & bad), so if you buy two or more sets to expand the mat, don't expect the pieces to fit together well all the time, nor the sides (sometimes you'll have to take the side piece with the pattern match off to get the edging on there, because of the shape of the cuts)

The edging on the corner just lines up; no interlocking, so it comes up/loose a lot.

Worked ok on top of my carpet, but it would probably do best on a hard surface. I liked that from a distance, it looked pretty real, despite the obvious mismatched puzzle-piece along some of the edges.

The edging pieces are in there, like someone mentioned, BUT the sides (the cut face) on the side you see are still a kind of cream-colored foam. I'm going to try using a wood stainer for spot treatments in an inside piece that I'm not using to see if I can make the foamy sides look a little more wood-y.

I bought 200 sq ft of these for my garage which I am converting into a dance room/ gym space. I chose these over the blue foam mats because they have a laminate top so I thought that might be better for dance. They arrived in a timely manner, are super lightweight weight, and very easy to install. They look fantastic as the laminate top gives it a nice sheen and from short distance you can't even tell they are foam...but they are which makes them even better for my purposes! The foam is just thick enough to insulate the garage floor and keep it from getting too cold and the give is perfect lowering the impact on my joints while dancing or working out. Easy to clean, fantastic to lie on, and they change the whole ambiance of a room. Furthermore, I couldn't find anywhere near as good a price as what We Sell Mats has these for so they are also the best economical choice. Everyone who has seen these have been really impressed, so, GOOD JOB WE SELL MATS!

When we introduced our 3 month son to the living room we knew we'd need a quick fix for our cement floors. Yes, cement. They are beautiful until someone cracks their head open. We tried rugs with pads underneath but they didn't fit into the odd angles of the room and still left tons of cement exposed. The final straw was hearing the dreaded thud when our son (at six months) pulled up on the couch and lost his balance hitting his head hard on the floor. He even hit the rug but it was still to thin. That very day I went on a search for the cure and found it. Amazon was the cheapest source of padded flooring and boy am I thankful these things have a beautiful wood grain look. We ordered enough to cover every area in our room. Using an exacto knife we could cut the foam tiles to fit all corners and edges leaving nothing exposed. The tiles fit together nicely, stayed down well, and looked amazing. With a rug in the center it looked like actual wood floors. My son is now one and has fallen numerous times with no injury. He just rolls over and keeps on going. The tiles still look great! There are a few scuff marks where a toy has been roughly dragged across but they don't take away from the beauty. We secured the outer edges and some of the more trafficked joints with duct tape (use it underneath) The clean up is so simple. Just sweep up the crumbs and I use a swifter wet mop to mop up the gunk. It's completely waterproof on top and the joints have been tight enough to keep water from leaking through. We love the reaction people have when they step on it and feel it give beneath their feet. Lots of compliments, too. You won't regret the purchase!
