Talking mushrooms, punkrock faeries, and truth-revealing gunshots abound in this bizarre, nonsensical and beautiful manga by Sonny Strait. I think the best way to describe this book would be as the illegitimate love child of A Midsummer Night's Dream and Tank Girl after dropping brown acid (it's that weird.) The artwork is a spectacular mix of Rumiko Takahashi and Looney Tunes, which fits the odd and original storyline perfectly. Strait has introduced us to a refreshing departure from your typical manga fare with this stunning first installment, and I will definately be picking up future volumes.

This book is great fun to read. It grabs your attention right away and before you know it, you are almost done. LOTS of fun, an easy read and makes you look forward to Volume 2 (which I hear is in the works!) =)
