I feel so disappointed, "INRI" and "Crwn Thy Frnicatr" were just amazing, this sounds so "Generic".
I think this guys are very talented but this album doesn't impress me.
I ll give 3 stars because it doesn't sounds bad at all, but as I already said before it is too "Generic", and P9 did very original music in the past.

While this strays more towards their Black metal influences than their industrial roots, I consider this the best psyclon album so far. Gone are the long intos to every track but keeps all the good notes of Frnicatr, dark and aggressive tracks with impressively written lyrics. With songs like "suicide note lullaby" and "As one with the flies" which seems to come from older INRI songs like "The feeding". Psyclon9 is one of those bands that gets it right. From the first track, the moods is set and their presence is felt. This is music that holds it's victim mercilessly. This album is the new definition of 9. It is everything i could want from them, and i cant wait for their next offering.

I like P9 pretty much no matter what. This album is much more organic and acoustic than prior albums...but there is still a constant electronic feel throughout the entire record. Nero's vocals are clear and easy to understand and the music is extremly dark and beat oriented. This is black metal and industrial dance thrown into one. I love it!

When I heard they were adding more guitar to the music I felt as though I was about to loose another good band. Once the samples were finally available, I took a listen and it did not sound hopeful. However, upon listening to the whole album, I think it is really awesome. It is different, yes. But it does not feel as though they changed completely. It is still Psyclon Nine for sure. The guitar only adds more to it. My only complaint is, it seems like there should be more songs. They are all great, I just want more. But hey. That just means I have another album to look forward to. Overall, I am VERY happy with this album and will continue to listen to it.

I have been following Psyclon Nine for a while now, and I very much like their previous albums except for "Crwn Thy Frnicatr"--which is an album I very much love. "Crwn Thy Frnicatr" had just the right blend of dark orchestral elements, industrial, metal, and electro. This release "We The Fallen" however has shed all of those previous genre labels that made Psyclon Nine so unique. Generic black metal riffs consume this album, while the (awesome) industrial beats are drowned out by them--quite a shame really. The electro and the whole catchy synth aspect is entirely absent as well. There are some really intense and catchy industrial bits on this album, but unfortunately they are gone far too soon and pushed to the (barely audible) back burner far too soon--they (audibly) only comprise a minor fraction of each song on average. For instance "Heartworm" has one of THE COOLEST industrial intros I have ever heard of any band, but unfortunately at the 00:38 second mark it promptly dissolves into repetitive and generic black metal guitar (which drowns out all else, besides the cacophonous shrieking "vocals"). This album really just sounds like one of many _fill_in_the_blank_ generic black metal bands, and it really is a worm in my heart that they did this to themselves--they were so much better than this! But I have hope for the future, hopefully the majority of fans will agree with me and we can have the great Psyclon Nine back someday. If you didn't like the album, have your voice heard and let the band know! As you can see not a single song scored a "5" from me, however every album previous (even the 1st one) has had at least a few 5 star songs. This is a great letdown. If you want to save money, and send a strong message to Nero: only pay to download the three 4-star songs individually! Money talks.
