Valuable Work,
This review is from: We Were the Ninth: A History of the Ninth Regiment, Ohio Volunteer Infantry, April 17, 1861, to June 7, 1864 (Civil War Sesquicentennial Edition) (Paperback)
This book was first published in German in Cincinnati and has been nicely translated. It chronicles the history of the 9th Regiment Ohio Infantry, which was formed by members of the Turner society of Cincinnati. It really lets you see the Civil War from the German-American perspective and helps you understand the contributions German-Americans made to the winning of the Civil War.
