Dekapitator was originally put together as a side project of Exhumed's "Andy Maniac" and "Matt Hellfiend" to pay tribute to what they considered the true thrash metal sound. The band plays pure, ferocious thrash metal along the lines of Kreator, Destruction and Sodom. It's fast, heavy, "bullet belt and spiked gauntlet" thrash metal with a death metal edge.

Everything about this band from their name to their logo to their cover artwork to their band photo to their song titles (and of course their music) is a tribute to classic thrash metal, and you have to admire that.

We Will Destroy...You Will Obey also features James Murphy (ex-Death, Obituary, Testament) on backing vocals and handling production and mastering duties.

It's out of print now, and not too easy to track down (or affordable), but if you're a fan of the classic German thrash sound you really can't go wrong with We Will Destroy...You Will Obey.
