5.0 out of 5 stars So interesting, May 6, 2010

This review is from: We of the Never-Never (Kindle Edition)
This is the story of a year on an Australian cattle station. The author, a city girl, and her husband took charge of the station with all it's problems and delights. She overcame the suspicions of the hearty cattlemen and aboriginal workers with good humor and modesty. Well worth reading and remembering.

2.0 out of 5 stars great book, lousy edition, May 8, 2008
This review is from: We of the Never-Never (Paperback)
This is an important book in the history of Australian literature, and well written, but this indypublish edition is scanned from a previous printing, and is full of typographical errors. It's available for free from project Gutenberg and google books, so I'd recommend against buying this edition. The book deserves better.

I thought it was a great insight into the life and human interactions of a woman in such a harsh landscape. It's a part of the world, and history that I am very interested in, but I'd recommend it to anyone.
