Nerissa is attacking Candracar - KRACK BOOM! Her power is awesome now because she tricked Will into giving up her Heart. W.i.t.c.h. is now without power. They cannot help the Oracle and elders.

The girls follow a trail of clues. They end up at the town observatory. They look through the giant telescope. They are searching for a special star. But when they look through the scope there is nothing there. Only Will sees the star because it is the star of Cassidy. Cassidy is the old guardian that Nerissa had betrayed and killed. She lives in the heavens now. She comes down and talks to Will. The other girls cannot hear what she says. But will hears her. She is like a bright ghost...and she gives Will her heart. So now will is carrying the heart of Cassidy.

With this new power, the girls are ready to fight nerissa. But will they win? Or will it be too late. Nerissa wants to get back at candracar for putting her in a prison. She will now have her revenge...unless witch and stop her first!

The book series is a great read for any age really especially, if you liked the Animated series (the books came first I believe). It doesn't pander to a kids' intelligence. It's written quite well with issues that are relevant to kids today. This book shows the value of Love, Teamwork, and most importantly, Friendship without being preachy or like a afternoon school special. Not all Wine and Roses(or Milk and Cookies) either. Some of their problems don't get solved at the end of the book, but with hard work and trust in their friends, they get thru. An awesome book of Hope and Endearing Friendship. A must read!

I have been a fan of the series since it first hit book shelves
but i must say that after 21 books have been released the plot
has not changed that much and the books could really use some new life.As far as this book is concerned nothing has really
changed since the last book but it still is worth skimming thru.
