I own both these and the Ziploc brand glass containers. I have to say, there's advantages and disadvantages to both, but Wean Green is my pick.

The Ziploc ones Ziploc VersaGlass Container, Small Round, 13-Ounce (Pack of 1) seem to have higher quality glass, as far as transparency goes. Wean Green glass seems thicker and wavier, with more imperfections. Wean Green also has a rim around the glass edge, Ziploc doesn't. For that reason, Ziploc seems to look slightly better as a serving container on the kitchen table. If you don't mind that sort of thing, than you probably wouldn't care.

The Wean Green ones have a better seal, that's airtight and leakproof. I also think the lids go on and off much easier. They seem like very sturdy containers that will last a long time. And, of course, they go right from the fridge to the microwave, to the kitchen table/counter.

The lunch size might not hold a full lunch for some people, but it's the right size to hold a can of soup or other food. Great for saving half a can of something that you can't eat all at once. Also, perfect for leftovers such as mac and cheese, that you'd like to save as single portions. Of course, they are a healthy alternative to plastic containers that can leach bad chemicals, especially when heating.

I know these are meant for baby food, but bought them for general containers for leftovers in an effort to get rid of plastic. My husband loves them b/c he can throw them into his bag for work and they won't leak. My only complains (and it's minor) is that they don't stack well for storage. They stack, but it's a big unstable. Other than that, we LOVE these containers and plan to buy more in other sizes.

my only complaint is that I can't find these in sizes large enough for my other kitchen needs.
We bought these as we are trying to get away from plastic for the kids. I love how easily these clean, don't stain, and love the super thick glass.

These containers are wonderful. Super easy to close without too much effort & the lids stay on tight so you don't get smells leaking into your fridge. Also, they clean up easy. I just throw the lids in the top rack of the dishwasher. I have these containers in several sizes. Love 'em!

I thought the cubes were sandwich sized, but they're a bit smaller. Easy to use and clean, and no plastic against my food in the microwave! I hope the plastic on the lids lasts a long time - the sides are constantly being bent to close.

Yes, these are pricey, but they are THE BEST product I have found for not just the boys' lunches (husband and three kids) but also food storage in general. The glass is thick and durable (the very fact we have not broken one in almost a year of daily usage testifies to that), and the seal is tight (not one leak yet, either). They don't discolor (because they are glass), they keep my fridge smelling clean (think raw onion or cauliflower), and I don't have to worry about chemicals leaching into the food like I would with plastic (yes, I am "that" mom lol). Yes, this is a little small to hold sandwiches (crust on, wonderbread style loaf), but as I cut the crusts off and use bakery style bread, that is not a concern for me. I use these for popcorn, cut up veggies, chips, fruit slices - the uses are endless. The price is such that I have accumulated mine more slowly than I would have liked, but the product is durable, and as far as I am concerned, well worth the wait and the price. I love them. (According to news from the company, they are currently designing a larger one that would, in fact, be large enough to hold a traditional sandwich. I am looking forward to adding that to my collection, as well!)

Wean Green containers are our new food storage obsession. They have exceeded all expectations. We use them to store all our leftovers and haven't had a single thing leak out; even soup! The colors are great and the lids are easy to 'click on' and I never worry that they are going to pop off even if I throw them into my diaper bag. I can't wait for the larger containers to come out later this year!

We have three sets of these and I'll probably buy more. These are great for storing milk or home made baby food in. I've also packed my husbands lunch in them. So you will use these for a while. I also freeze milk and food in ice trays then transfer them to these containers (no plastic storage no worries).

Love these. The seal is great. The colors are vibrant. The glass is thick/sturdy. I do think they are WAY overpriced, especially considering the size. I will probably just stick with the regular pyrex ones in the future b/c of this. If the price were dropped a bit, though, I'd give this 5 stars.

These lunch cubes (despite not quite being actual cubes) are the perfect size for lunch. They hold everything in and the seal is really good. Even when I put liquids inside it doesn't leak. Very very happy with the product!
