I tried "squeezing" a few different kinds of foods, like strawberries and bananas, and it really doesnt work that well.

The concept was a good idea, but I would have just rather saved my money.

The other reviewers are correct - unless you're mashing the absolute softest of foods (banana and avocado) the Wean Machine will not work for you. I tried well-cooked black beans. They ended up flattened in the bottom of the Wean Machine - not even a portion of a bean passed through the grate. I then chopped them up with a fork (defeating the purpose of the tool, I might add) and squeezed again. It still did not work. The grates do not have sharp edges on the holes for cutting, so this product cannot work. if you squeeze too hard, you will probably break the hinge.

The Wean Machine works great. The only thing I would change is to have the "strainer" basket go all the way down to the bowl part. Having that little extra leftover that won't mush is a waste.
