4.0 out of 5 stars Well done satire. Intelligent and engaging.
Kingsly and Byrne are excellent in this biting satire that often turns to black comedy in an excellent commentary on modern high-powered wheeling and dealing in the corporate world. Twists and turns galore in a tightly woven plot that promises and delivers surprise after surprise in a wonderfuly written plot. Equally engaging is the sub-plot of Mr. and Mrs. anyone...

2.0 out of 5 stars Anti-climax
This movie shows great promise, and builds up plenty of potential for a great war of dirty information between the two main characters, but the movie fails to see it through, and feels as though it has stopped in the middle. I still haven't worked out what role, if any, the housewife and her out-of-work husband play in the movie. They seem to have a lot of screen-time,...

Equally engaging is the sub-plot of Mr. and Mrs. anyone caught up in the aftermath of the duel between two media mogules (hence the title).

An intelligent and engaging well writen movie for those who like to think about and be caught up in their entertainment.

4.0 out of 5 stars Weapons of Mass Destruction, February 19, 2008

This movie displays in graffic style the damage done to ordinary people during the high profile business "war games" played out by too wealthy businessmen. Gabriel Byrne is superb, Ben Kingsley is up to the task as his adversary. Very relevant to today's world

If you want to see one of the best, maybe the best, satire on the media (maybe topping even "Network"?), then this movie is for you. Don't miss it. I swear, a number of times I laughed so hard I cried.

I still haven't worked out what role, if any, the housewife and her out-of-work husband play in the movie. They seem to have a lot of screen-time, but their story runs independant of the main plot. Great acting from Kingsley and Byrne, but they are both wasted on this movie. They are all that carries this turkey. Like I said, great potential wasted!

2.0 out of 5 stars cricket lady was great, March 10, 2008
This review is from: Weapons of Mass Distraction [VHS] (VHS Tape)
The actress who played cricket was awesome, other that the movie was not good at all her performance made the movie watchable
