Not oven safe for 400 degrees, October 19, 2003
This review is from: Wearever 3-Piece Basic Roasting Set (Kitchen)
This is listed to be oven safe up to 400 degrees, but the pan warped after 15 minutes at only 375. Now it rocks back and forth and is unsteady when resting. Glad I got it for free.

Now this is a turkey pan, October 15, 2003
This review is from: Wearever 3-Piece Basic Roasting Set (Kitchen)
Someone really put thought into this pan! Big handles make it so much easier to get a heavy pan out of the oven. The rolled edge makes it easy to grab the pan also. The non-stick is great for clean up after a long meal. No pre-soak or re-washing. It's worth hand washing. I never put pans in the dishwasher anyway. Definitely a great pan.

I Love Pot Roast, but Hate the Clean-Up!, October 29, 2003
This review is from: Wearever 3-Piece Basic Roasting Set (Kitchen)
This came as a premium with purchase, so I'm not sure I'd have selected it otherwise. I am glad I got it. The nonstick coating saves me a lot of cleanup and soaking time. With my regular roaster, I always had to line the inside of the pan with aluminum foil. It typically develops a leak somewhere, and that part of the pan will burn the grease, making it hard to clean. This pan cleans up easy with no soaking. You can clean it hours after the meal, and its not much of a job.
A good feature, the handles are great for grabing the pan. I no longer risk burning myself leaning in to get a firm grasp on the pan. I can grasp the handle and pull it out most of the way, so I can get a good grip to pick it up. In fact, the handles may be a bit overkill, as big and heavy as they are you could easily carry the pan if it was full of bricks. I haven't used the V-shaped rack yet, but it looks like it will help support a larger roast or bird. I use a finer rack to drain the roast while it cooks.
Like my old pan it has a lip to seal aluminum foil on the top to keep in the steam. I don't have to baste with pot roast, but if I ever do a Turkey the baster will come in handy. Pan is a good size for roasting, it has ample space for the carrots, onions, potatoes and other trimmings I put in my roasts.
