Wearing Smaller Shoes is a key acquisition for any home and garden collection catering to environmentally-conscious homeowners. It tells how to cut power bills, move to low-tech solutions to issues, and takes into account the costs involved in making this move. It's about making small changes over time rather than big projects, and is a top pick for any homeowner's alternative energy library.

Now this is not the fault of the author but I can't stand this kind of style the book is written in. It does give good information on recycling almost everything in everyday life. Since I practice recycling for many years and have little waste for the landfill, save water and electricity and almost all in the garden (goes in the compost piles) there was no new information for me but to somebody who wants to change to recycling and enjoys the style the book can be valuable.
