4.0 out of 5 stars If You Liked "Movies", Get This
I personally love Cage, he's deffinatley one of my all around favorite rappers so I love this album and even got the advance release before it was out. However, it sure did have it's share of flaws. For one, the majority of Cage fans have already heard "Haterma" and "Come To Daddy" w/ Camu Tao, none the less they are still ill tracks. Secondly, I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing...
I love Cage, however, this e.p. is a seriously weak effort from the guy that brought us the incredibly dope lps Nighthawks, Smut Peddlers, and Movies for the Blind. For one, with less Mighty Mi beats, the production suffers (even the perpetually brilliant RJD2 seems bored on this lp, giving Cage so-so fare) leaving Camu Tao to pick up the slack (with J-Zone and Cage...

For one, with less Mighty Mi beats, the production suffers (even the perpetually brilliant RJD2 seems bored on this lp, giving Cage so-so fare) leaving Camu Tao to pick up the slack (with J-Zone and Cage still not quite working their kinks out of their chemistry and on the redudant "Too Much RMX"). Also, with Haterama only one verse long and already being released, this dessert e.p. suffers tremendously, wading in mediocrity where Movies For the Blind stood out like blood red mars, shimmering hauntingly in the night sky.

If you liked Movies for the Blind chances are you'll be feeling this release as well. My only complaints are its very short, 2 of the 9 songs are remixes which I didnt like as much as the originals, and 1 song was previously released on The Conspiracy, (come to Daddy). Weather People is nice (rjd2 beat), and my personal favorite song is Leak Bros. feat Tame One, dope Reef beat and the flows are nice. Cage is definitley stepping it up lyrical wise, but this album just feels like it was thrown together w/out much effort. If your a fan of the self proclaimed prince of leak this probably won't dissapoint you, but keep in mind its really short.

For one, the majority of Cage fans have already heard "Haterma" and "Come To Daddy" w/ Camu Tao, none the less they are still ill tracks. Secondly, I agree with the majority that the "Too Much" Remix on here is pretty weak. Besides that though, every track is ill and it's still a nice length for an EP. The production is very on point like always on Cage's stuff and that deffinatley stands out. Though I'd deffinatley tell any newbie of Cage stuff to spend the extra few bucks and buy "Movies For The Blind" first, if you are already a fan, this is deff worth your money. I gotta say, it sure has left me hungry for the upcoming work Cage is putting out soon!

A Kid's Review
This review is from: Weather Proof (Audio CD)
i remember when i 1st listened to a cage song it was on Pete Nice's (3rd Bass) "Dust 2 Dust" (which was the 1st horrorcore album realsed on a major label) the song was weird and it was hard to understand Cage he sounded like the guy from Rage Against The Machine but then a few years later i heard him freestyleing on Bobbito's show (underground hip-hop show which was on Wckr columbia universtiy) he was ill then Bobbito started playing difrent versions of a cage song called "Radio Head" later it was realsed as a single on bobbito's label "Fondle Em" with the masterpeice "Agent Orange" it started a huge buzz for the illist white mc at the time but then came Eminem who cage thought was copying his style the 2 started a old fashion mc batel on wax which was very entertaning Eminem blew up and Cage stayed underground signing with Eastren Confrence a label started by The High & Mighty which was home to other underground vets like Ra The Rugged Man his debut album which should of came out 4 years ago to be more sucsessful was realsed if you realy want a groundbreaking Cage album try and find "For Your Box" realsed on cage's label it has all of his illist freestyles on it and his best tracks and interveiw good luck finding it it was realsed on tape only now weather Proof its a ok album with alot of ill lyrics and production go pick it up if your a fan of underground stuff!

If you want hot beats and great lyrics at once, i say u cop cage's new joint. Thats some Underground stuff at it's best.

the only reason i gave it 4 stars is because its too short but if it was longer it could have been a 4 1/2
