The boy in the bubble....couldn't be happier,

Ok....so it's a bit difficult to justify spending 50 or 60 dollars on something that basically looks like it could have been the air bubble packaging that Amazon uses. And, I will be the first to admit, that although the BOB (Beast of Burden, for anyone curious) Stroller is the greatest stroller out of the very, very many that we tried out, I do sometimes feel like someone working there must have come from a car dealership with all of the pricey add-on's that BOB offers, some of which I really think should be included in the price of the $300+ stroller (I'm looking at you $19 cupholdersBob Handlebar Console for Single Strollers, Black). All that being said, if you enjoy getting out and walking with your baby and don't want to let the slightly chillier (especially windier) weather stop you the Weather Shield is a must have. We recently did a turkey trot with the BOB with the weather Shield on a slightly chilly, windy Thanksgiving day in Ohio and my son could not have been warmer or more comfortable. He was perfectly content inside the little bubble and even fell asleep for much of the race (another testament to the smooth ride of the BOB), the weather shield did a great job of keeping the wind off of him. The Weathershield itself does take a bit of getting used to in putting it on and taking it off, but once you get the hang of it it becomes a relatively easy task and you can pretty easily move it to a position on top of the canopy where it's out of the way and only takes a second to get back on. It's also vented pretty well, so no worries about suffocation, although I do wonder how necessary the vent over the front wheel is, since it looks like the only place where the wind could really blow into the bubble (the back vents aren't in a place where a strong wind would blow in but let in enough air, but it did stay warm in there, so I'm going to assume that BOB knew what they were doing on this one. I only had a few reasons for knocking it down from a perfect 5 star rating...First, as I noted before, it, like all of the BOB accessories is more than it really should be, for the pretty basic piece of nylon and plastic that the Weathershield really is I'd expect it to run more along the lines of $30 rather than $50 or $60, but i can't fault BOB for wanting to make a profit. Second, the only problem with the product itself is that in order to attach it you have to push back the canopy halfway, which can allow the sun to get into the eyes of your little one on the rare occasion that it's both sunny and cold. You can get around it by putting a blanket over the top of the bubble to keep the sun out (just make sure you don't block the air vents), but I think that it's really something that should have been thought of in the product development phase, where a velcro flap of fabric over the top of the bubble would have been really helpful. All in all though if you like to walk/run/jog with your little one and want to get a few more months use out of your BOB, I'd recommend picking up the Weathershield.

One significant flaw flaw,

If you have the Bob car seat adapter attached (which has a cup holder and tray, this rain cover won't fit at all.Otherwise, 4 stars. I just wish Bob had a rain cover that was compatible with another of their own accessories... or they had an option that was.

love this weather shield. great for rain, light snow, or just those cold days. the first time you go to put it on, it seems confusing. but, once you do it- it's very easy. air flows nicely into the stroller and children really don't need to be too dressed, it stays pretty toasty inside.the only down side [reason for 4 stars], is that you have to partially retract the sunshade. during sunset or rise, the sun will get into your child's face. so either go out when the sun is at a different angle or run away from the sun!

I bought the weather shield for rainy days and have used it a couple times. It seems to work great! It takes a bit to figure out but once I did, it was easy to use. I fits well but not perfectly (maybe I'm still not using it right :). The vents in the back (above child's head) don't naturally fall in the opening for air flow so I have to pull it down sometimes to make sure air is still flowing. It is very lightweight but seems durable! I wish that it folded up into itself (you know those reusable grocery bags that you fold up into a pocket that is a part of the bag?) That would be cool. Then you wouldn't have one more thing to keep track of as a mom!

Another awesome product from BOB. Keeps my child out of the wind and weather, and keeps her warm in colder weather. Easy to take on and off, and allows us to be outside when the weather isnt perfect.

Living in Washington State, this is a MUST HAVE! I really like the weather shield it was just a bit confusing at first. It could use a better design for connecting it and there are a couple of velcro snaps that I'm not sure what they are for. It came with directions for an older model of the shield so I kind of had to figure it out myself. Other than that, I can't imagine not having it. It makes me feel oddly powerful.

I love my Bob Revolution (2010) and this was an excellent accessory. I am still able to take my daughter, Natalie, on walks when it is in the 40s. She loves being able to see everything around her. People stop to ask me about the stroller and weather shield constantly. I take the weather shield whenever it is below 65, just in case. The weather shield is a little expensive, but I haven't seen any wear on it. I will be ordering the sun/wind shield today.

I purchased this along with my BOB stroller. I figured out how to put it on in a matter of seconds. Its so easy to put on and remove, we use bring this with us everywhere we go. Its very helpful! will also keep your child dry from deep puddle splashes because it wraps around to the under bar of the stroller as well.

We were able to use this product quite a bit recently (we live in Seattle) and it works as advertised. The installation was not complicated in the least (though we have noticed that the instructions that come with BOB products are sometimes needlessly wordy). We would recommend this product to any that own a revolution and have to contend with wind or rain.

I got this weather shield for winter in New England. It gets pretty cold and windy too and...BOB has come through again!! This is PERFECT for it all (and fits my Revolution perfectly)! Although I haven't yet used it in the rain (not sure I really wanna be out in the rain myself), I'm sure it will be fine! It's sealed pretty well but still has pockets for air- they're under flaps so the rain doesn't get in. When I went to get my daughter out after our walk, it was pretty toasty warm inside it, but not too warm. She was comfy! Only thing is I will probably order the 'warm and fuzzy' for her to sit on inside the stroller. Overall, this is definitely worth the money!!!
