I didn't have a CD player yet when this box set was originally released. I bought it. I bought my first CD player only half a year later. Isn't this enough? It includes his first three albums with some of his soundtrack works for theater pieces and films. It's a great box set. The original ahd some really nice artwork by Yuka Fuji and Russell Mills. The music is just wonderful. The Italian guy who wrote a review has no idea what Sylvian is about. This is music I can listen to any and every time and even hundred times in a row. My most favorite of the 5 CDs is "Secret of the Beehive". I couldn't live without that CD. I still listen to it at least once a month.

lovely strange and engrossing. this music works as atmospheric background music, close focused intellectual listening, and audiophile massaging of the ear-brain pathway. box-set takes artistic advantage of the medium. ifluential, self-referential and otherworldly.

CD 2: ALCHEMY
CD 3: GONE TO EARTH [contains seven tracks - LP 1 of the original 2-LP set]
CD 4: GONE TO EARTH instrumental [contains 10 tracks - LP 2 of the original 2-LP set]
CD 5: SECRETS OF THE BEEHIVE [same tracks as the original LP] (DSCD 1)
The first, second and fifth cd is useless,
with third and fourth cd we have "gone to heart" finally entire.
One ugly speculation x true fans.
