The greenhouse is a pretty good value for the money; however, living in North Dakota as I do, I feel it is not really practical. Last night, May 15, it got down to 21 degrees, and even though I have a heater in the greenhouse, it was not able to prevent some frost damage to my plants. Also, as other reviews have stated, we had to secure the framework with rivets if we were to have any hopes of it withstanding our ND winds. Having done that, however, it has held up pretty well so far (we had wind gusts of 55 MPH the other day). Overall, I would recommend the greenhouse for those in warmer climates.

my Weatherguard 8x12 greenhouse arrived very quickly and was easilyerected, if you follow the directions (which could be made a bit better). After having built several of my own greenhouses and then spending days going over the directions it was easy for me to erect. While it did seem flimsly when I began erection, it quickly solidified and has become a very ridged structure. The ventalation system works very well in helping to keep it cool, but was not easy to make air tight for winter. I solved that problem by adding insulation in the form of a solar pool cover. By using lath and screws I was able to seal the vents shut for the winter by running the cover down onto the deck and screwing several laths to the deck. (I did place my greenhouse on a deck to keep it near the house for convience in the winter). The only problem I still haven't solved (yet) is the gaps where the end panels meet the cover. A nice gap is left for wind to infiltrate. I hope to find some soft foam in white or very a light color to push in and fill the gap to keep the wind out. Over all it is an excelent greenhouse, and one I wish I had gotten years ago.

It is not even six months old, and the plastic has ripped and needs replacing.

Weatherguard 63001 8-by-8-Foot Greenhouse
This will be my 3rd growing season with my Weatherguard greenhouse. I take it down in summer after the planting is done and put it back up in spring..reason being our windy conditions and rough winters. My only problem has been contacting the company for replacement parts..need new front door panel because zipper sticks. Other than that it has worked wonderfully. We anchor it with 4 dog tie outs and it stays very secure.

Product was easy to assemble. One "T" connector was missing, but after a call to the company's toll free number they had a new part to me in 4 days via UPS. As in former reviews I would recommend purchasing 50 self-drilling 1/2 in. pan-head screws to assenble the tubes at the connection points, making sure they are placed where the poly cover won't rub on them. Shop around on the Internet for the best price on the greenhouse.
