Good product for what you pay, November 30, 2009
This review is from: Bipod with Weaver Quick Release Mount/ Universal Barrel Adapter Included (Sports)
I rate products based on functionality and ergonomics (comfort). I do not rate on the "cool factor" of gun products.
That being said, I really like this product. Overall I think you get a decent quality and useful product for the money.
1. I really like the quick attach function of this product. That is the primary reason I purchased this......the ability to quickly attach/detach so I can use it on multiple rifles with a rail. Also, I did not want to buy a bipod and then a quick attach mount.
2. The locking mechanism works well, but put one drop of oil on each pin that locks the bipod to the rail and work the oil into the mechanism by pushing the quick release button 10 or 15 times. Then wipe away any excess oil from the lock pins and from around the quick release button.
3. There is a small screw that attaches the leg lock to the bipod leg. The screw is on the opposite side of the lock lever. Remove the screw, put some blue locktite (#242) on the screw threads and put the screw back in. The screw is very small and does not stay secured very well. Do not put a lot of torque on the screw when you screw it back in. This is the only reason I gave this product four stars instead of a five stars.
4. The picture in the Amazon posting does not quite match the product I received, which is good. The picture makes the bipod look like it only has an opening on one end where it slides onto the rail. It doesn't. The bipod can be slid onto the rail on either end and slide along the entire length of a Weaver rail or Picatinny rail.
5. The picture does not show the locking pins, but please note that there are two locking pins which provide a very secure and solid attachment of the bipod to the rail.
6. The feet are a hard rubber type material. I like a very positive grip because I do a lot of shooting from the bench. I cut a piece of grip tape (1.25" long x .50" wide) and put it on each foot for added grip.
7. The legs are not a spring retract type leg. You have to manually release the lock lever and push them back up.
8. When the legs are folded up and locked in place, there is no wobble. It's sold in place.
9. When the legs are unfolded, the legs lock into position, but this bipod gives you the ability to make slight cant adjustments of approximately 3 degrees to each side and windage adjustments of approximately 10 degree left and 10 degree right.
I hope this helps. You won't regret buying this product.

This is a great Bipod for the price, I like it better than most, November 4, 2011
This review is from: Bipod with Weaver Quick Release Mount/ Universal Barrel Adapter Included (Sports)
I couldn't decide which one to buy, so I purchased the UTG, Barska, NcStar, and I own several Harris bipods and a Versa-Pod ($200+) and a Caldwell . The Harris I do like and they are made well, very light and moderately sturdy for a heavy rifle like an 308AR, Galil, Ak47 etc... The Versa-Pod is the best one in my collection and I feel that this one comes close. This bipod is heavy, but it does what it is suppose to do very well. Not as finely crafted as the high end ones, but I was pleasantly surprised at how well made it is for $26... It's a great little heavy-duty bipod that I can mount a 10lb. 308AR on and it can take the beating and provide extremely good stability... The Barska is like it in some ways, built well and much lighter, not nearly as refined in its construction. I was thinking about keeping it, but since the price difference is only a few dollars more for this one, I decided to exchange it for another-one of these. This bipod looks great on any assault-weapon setup and can take the real life punishment as well. I think I would easily pay up to $85 and feel it's a good value, I can see paying $100 when compared to my Harris if it was a little better refined. If I had to chose one for my collection it would be this one. Down side it's heavy, up side it's heavy-duty and for $26 I take four more please....

Can't beat it for the price!, October 30, 2010

This bipod was the perfect choice to finish my Ruger 10/22. The bipod has a decent range of adjustment for the average shooter. When it is folded up, it stays securely in place. The quick release for the RIS rail is also a very nice feature for when you want to change your pivot point or just to take it off.
