5.0 out of 5 stars Well written! Very detailed and usefull material
I found this book to be very easy to read but also very good explaining the contents. The examples are great and also the CD-ROM.

1.0 out of 5 stars The book's samples are not Win 98 or NT 4.0 compatible.
If you are running Win98 or NT. Don't Get This Book. The sample VB4 scripts run only on Win95 or NT3.4 and there are no updated versions available.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not what the book claims to be., March 18, 2000

The book is old with no updates, and while the book started off with good explanations, that quickly died. It seems like the book was getting too long, so the authors decided not to cover certain things, or would state that what they weren't covering was easy to do (like secure transactions). Not a good reference book or how to manual. There are plenty of other good books out there. I can see why the publisher no longer even acknowleges this book as theirs anymore.

This book has all the things I need to start doing linking Database with the Web (Intranet) without learning a whole chunk of books. This is also a good book to start if you need to move to a more advanced Wed database programming using either Visual Basic
