Try this app right now on your computer. You control the app with your mouse and keyboard to experience it like you would on your phone. Test drive this app before you buy.
How does this work?
Clicking the “Test drive now” button launches a copy of this app on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), a web service that provides on-demand compute capacity in the cloud for developers. When you interact with the simulated phone using your mouse and keyboard, we send those inputs over the Internet to the app running on Amazon EC2 — just like your mobile device would send a finger tap to the app. Our servers then send the video and audio output from the app back to your computer. All this happens in real time, allowing you to explore the features of the app as if it were running on your mobile device.

1.0 out of 5 stars Recent Update Does Not Allow Sync August 27, 2012
Verified Purchase
The latest update removed the ability to sync with Toodledo.

I had been using this Pocket Informant for its ability to sync tasks with Toodledo. This had been working well without issue until the latest update. The ability to sync with Toodledo (and Google Tasks) has been removed. A note on the company's web page points the finger at Kindle for not utilizing a native Android calendar. However, this seems disingenuous given that this functionality existed before the update. Now I paid $5.00 for an app that is different from what I bought and, as a result, is useless to me.

1.0 out of 5 stars WARNING for Kindle Fire Users! September 6, 2013
Verified Purchase
Just tried this out and it seemed like it was going to do the job for me (I don't care about snyching to the Google Calendar). My big thing was that it needs to work offline, and it seems that it does. However, when I tried to add a contact,it promptly crashed. When I went back into the app, I received a warning that the "disappearing PI Accounts problem has been fixed, and is available as a separate download from the [Google] Play store."

Being a (non-hacked) Kindle user, this doesn't help the "disappearing PI Accounts" problem for me, so I promptly deleted and will be looking for another app. Free (today) or not, unexpected wipes are not what I'm looking for, and if you're not providing support for ALL of your customers, then there's no reason for me to stick around.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unhappy customer June 28, 2013
I paid for this app, used it for two weeks and am now getting an error that does not allow me to use it. The only way to fix is to buy it again. Not a chance!

1.0 out of 5 stars Interface doesn't match screenshots May 17, 2013
Verified Purchase
The interface on this app does not resemble a physical planner. There are
no colored tabs in the sides of the app pages. The screenshots are 80% of why I purchased the app because it looked very used friendly. I wanted a planner in an app form. I tried checking the settings to see if there was anything I was missing in changing the page format and I saw nothing.
I'm open to help, but until then it gets 1 star.

1.0 out of 5 stars Is this a joke? September 6, 2013
Verified Purchase
The app we are receiving is nowhere near the great looking one we have in the screenshots. Is this a test in poor taste jokes?

Furthermore, it has a very clunky interface and it's terrible to use.

Just stay away from it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Seriously?? August 12, 2012
Verified Purchase
I've been using PI for years (with my iPhone) and it's always been fabulous. I was a little disappointed when I got a Kindle Fire and found it isn't readily compatible - BUT I recently bought a year-long paid subscription to Toodledoo because it made for a great work-around and synced between iPhone and Fire perfectly. NOW, with this new update, you've made the sync settings inaccessible, telling me to make changes through Android calendar which Kindle DOES NOT HAVE. It was a giant pain in my ass to find a way to make this work so I could keep using PI, and you've effectively just removed it. Please fix this is you're about to lose a loyal customer.

1.0 out of 5 stars Seriously?! September 6, 2013
Verified Purchase
Don't do us any favors by making the free app of the day an outdated app. At least you could have chosen the newer Pocket Informant 3!

As far as this version, Pocket Informant 2, I tried it out when I was looking for apps that would sync to ToodleDo and it was massively disappointing. The interface is dated and feels like it was ported over from Windows Mobile. It does not have refined Android interface. Ultimately I could not manage my tasks any better than the DGT GTD Alpha.
