Amongst the best. Highly recommended.,

I don't know what book "A customer from USA" read, but it obviously wasn't Web Marketing Applied. I have some experience in internet marketing and found this book to be the best in my collection. Does the author express an importance at having a marketing plan? Yes. Not only that, but the author dedicates two chapters to creating a detailed internet marketing plan. This should be the foundation of any marketing effort. Period. The organization of chapter 2 gets very high marks from me. Each 102 marketing tips contain detailed explanations and each one is rated on a scale of five stars then grouped into the type of marketing segment it belongs. This type of organization made it easy for me to spot ideas that would work best in my marketing. I also really enjoyed the chapters on defensive and offensive techniques. My site is in a competitive field so I found these two chapters to be worth the price of the book alone. I also agree with a previous reviewer about the responsiveness of the author. I had a question about one of his techniques and within four hours of emailing him, I had the answer to my question. Even though I've read all the way through Web Marketing Applied, I find myself refering to it often. It's a book that serves well as a reference tool that I find myself using day after day. If there was any disappointment that I had, it is that Joe's next book on Web profits, which is mentioned in Web Marketing Applied, isn't going to be done until early 2001. Of course that doesn't take away from my experience with this one and I highly recommend it to any serious webmaster or marketer.

Best Web Marketing book I have read,
This review is from: Web Marketing Applied : Web Marketing Strategies for the New Millennium (Paperback)
If you browse through a bookstore looking for a web marketing book, you encounter a few problems. First of all, many books are already hopelessly out of date in the fast-moving Internet world. Second, there are few books that give the "meat and potatoes" of web marketing. Joe Tracy's book solves both problems, being both up-to-date and extremely informative. Tracy's book is loaded with excellent marketing tips, rated on his experience of their effectiveness. Its virtually impossible for anyone to know EVERY method of web marketing he lists. And Tracy describes many, many techniques to market your website that cost little or nothing! I would highly recommend this book for anyone who has been given the task of promoting a website.

It's about time!,

Now adays it's hard to find a book that doesn't waste paper dancing around the issues it is suppose to address. Web Marketing Applied throws you headfirst into "Web Marketing." What a novel idea. A whole lot of other authors could learn from this. This book is as rich as chocolate moussee. There is just SOOO much information in this book that you get sensory overload halfway through chapter two. You will know what I mean once you dive into chapter two. This is without a doubt the bible of web marketing. I guarrantee that you will take this book to work each day and bring it home each night. There a ideas brought up in this book that I am sure are going to be commonplace on the web in a matter of 6 months. I hate to give away any of Mr. Tracy's secrets but his idea about each site having a section which lists and talks about 10 other related/recommended sites, is just going to become the norm. No doubt about it. By far the best purchase I have ever made. Even those of you who do not do marketing for a living should buy this badboy. It will give you great insite into the web and how all of the companies work together. The only thing that I regret is that I could only give this book 5 stars. That is all that Amazon.com allows. :-( sorry Mr. Tracy.

Well worth the investment,

If you have a website and want traffic, you need this book! Joe Tracy has done what many others could not; provide you with excellent ideas and step-by-step approaches to online marketing without drawing out the entire process or diluting it with unrelated material. Most of the other books I have read on this topic spend a great deal of time on creating your web page instead of marketing it. Joe gets right to the point and shows you the most effective methods of getting your site noticed. Definitely 5 Stars in my book!

Full of information,
This review is from: Web Marketing Applied : Web Marketing Strategies for the New Millennium (Paperback)
About three weeks ago I read a glowing review of this book at the Website Promotion Central web site. I went to a local book store first to see if it was suitable for my needs. The first book store did not have a copy but the second one did. Looking through the book I was pleased with the amount of information on each page. The purchase decision was easy.I like the step by step format of the book, the marketing plan guide, the chapter on public relations and I particularly like the second chapter of 101 tips and the way it is organized. The cartoons at the start of each chapter are also a nice touch. I have looked through many marketing books at the book store in the past but this is the first one I have purchased. I doubt I'll ever need to read another one. +dana+

I desperately needed some marketing help. And this book was it. It offers comprehensive advice as well as useful links. NOt only does Tracy's book clearly define what good marketing entails, the author also saves you the trouble of having to do alot of your own research for online resources. Can't beat that! Thank you Mr Tracy.

Many Excellent Tips,
By Don Dolan (www.ARTonCANVAS.com) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Web Marketing Applied : Web Marketing Strategies for the New Millennium (Paperback)
I read this fine book while our new Website was being constructed, and since our launch I have referred to it many times. There are dozens of tips and techniques of which I was made aware, and some have already been extremely beneficial in our marketing. They do work. Others are on the back-burner, and will be implemented as we grow. The author not only reveals many useful aids, but also stressed several universal truths for sucessful marketing (honesty, promptness, etc), and it was refreshing to review them in print as web-marketing principles.

Excellent delivery of a moving target,
By MAT (Sylvania, OH United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Web Marketing Applied : Web Marketing Strategies for the New Millennium (Paperback)
I am involved in Internet marketing and e-busines as a profession. Let me be the first to say that this is clearly a field where the target is moving and it doesn't seem to have a clear answer. It seems that there is no one definition of what it is and how to do it. However Joe Tracy has done a fantastic job in this book of spelling out not only what web marketing is, but how to do it. His list of 101 Internet marketing ideas is worth the price of the book alone, but he has gone above and beyond by talking about offline marketing, public relations, offensive and defensive marketing techniques, and developing a strategic marketing plan for a web site. Finally, he includes lots of online resources and the URLs to access them. Great book!

If you have a web site, YOU NEED THIS BOOK!,

This is by far the best book I have read for online marketing tips, strategies, and know-how. As the author aptly points out, most online marketing books focus on web site creation, search engine placement, or even mass-emailing (SPAM). Well-thought-out, this book covers everything from basic web marketing ("Web Marketing 101") to the strategic planning of your web promotional activities ("Forming a Strategic Website Marketing Plan"). The "101 Web Marketing Ideas" section is worth the cover price alone! I hightly recommend you purchase this book if you plan to or already have a web site! If you have someone who's maintaining and promoting your site for you, GET THEM A COPY! (...) |
