5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book on under-documented subject, July 14, 2004
This review is from: Web Programming with the SAP Web Application Server (Hardcover)
Granted, the language in this book does not put it in the catagory of "literature", but I don't think that's why any of us are buying it. I have found it to be an fantastic addition to my team library, and the developers on my team have thanked my for getting it. If you're trying to ramp up on SAP's Web App server, this book is well worth $70. There are some basic sections, which most of my guys can skip, but for those who need more backgroud, that information (all from the SAP perspective) is very useful. Also, we have been getting a lot out of the mini-SAP CDs that come with it (you have to send in a coupon, that comes with the book, but there is no extra charge for the 3 CDs). One tip - don't let outside consultants borrow it. We had 2 copies taken already!

For anyone that needs to learn about Web AS, especially BSPs, I strongly recommend it. Or, you can wait around for Shakespeare to come back to life and write a play on this subject...

3.0 out of 5 stars OK book.. has some good info, but not written well, January 7, 2007

This review is from: Web Programming with the SAP Web Application Server (Hardcover)
This book is written too superficially, it must have more practical stuff in it for you to get used to. This would help you get an idea of what the SAP WAS is, but you would probably need something else to really start using the SAP WAS..

4.0 out of 5 stars In good Condition, Ship fast, August 22, 2005
This review is from: Web Programming with the SAP Web Application Server (Hardcover)
High profile for getting familiar with Web application Server. Some concept goes too superficial. If one has been working with WAS for a while, this book may not be that useful.
