The King of Grills!!!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Weber 2265001 Blue Genesis Silver C Propane Gas Grill (Lawn & Patio)
Just recently purchased the Weber Silver C after years of using, paying for, and repairing $200 +/- rustmasters from Sunbeam and Thermos. This grill is not a luxury item, it is a necessity whose initial higher cost is more than made up for by quality materials and performance that Weber backs up with warranties.Turn all three burners to high, pre-heat for 10 minutes, and then throw on your best steak. The Weber grill lacks the elusive hot spots that one comes to know after using a cheaper grill for months. It has a pull out drip area and disposable drip pan for easy clean up. The thermoset work surfaces make it easy to gather spices, dishes, etc., plus they don't warp and crack like the usual wood surfaces that are so common. My only and most minor of complaints with the Silver C would be that Weber should have a small space rack on the front of the unit. Over the 20 lbs. propane tank and extremely useful spring-loaded gauge, is the sideburner. This provides a nice and comfortable alternative to cooking corn, sauces, and any other number of items that would otherwise be slaved over in a hot summer kitchen indoors. So, here it is. Buy this grill. Buy the Weber cover for it (Weber 9859). The cover fits perfectly and is of the highest quality (even with ventilation strips to allow moisture to escape the covered grill.) You'll love this grill so much that you should make sure you have an extra tank on hand - the tank gauge is useful, but it won't help you grill when the propane distributor is closed. Hey, and try to be daring. Buy some woodchips - Hickory and Mesquite are good for pork and beef respectively (place them on tin foil on the grill - it really works)and go for a color. We chose the very sharp looking blue. Then enjoy. The Weber grill is a revelation after years of grill drudgery and repair with lesser products.

The Weber That Lasts Forever,
By J Roberts (Apple Valley, MN) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Weber 2262001 Burgundy Genesis Silver C Propane Gas Grill (Lawn & Patio)
We purchased a Weber 2262001 Genesis Silver C Gas Grill over 15 years ago. We have used it almost daily for about 5-6 months of each year. The only thing that stopped us was the snow and ice on the deck. This grill has been through all the extremes of weather and the only thing we need to replace is the wooden shelves (which are no longer wood). We loved this grill so much that we purchased one for our business and it too, has been great for company picnics and lunches. This grill has never failed us-unless we ran out of gas. It cooks the food evenly and the food tastes great. The cookbook and instructions are very useful as well and if you follow the weber guidelines, everything turns out just as it says. I'm shopping for a new one because my daughter moved...and took the "old faithful" with her. I'd give this Weber 5 stars anytime!

Temperature Control,

Temperature control. That's the name of the game with this grill. I got this grill about a month ago and haven't burnt anything on it yet. You cook with the lid shut and track the temp with the accurate in lid thermometer. Just adjust the outside burners to the desired temp. and let it go. Best grill I've ever owned.

BBQ heaven!,

This review is from: Weber 2262001 Burgundy Genesis Silver C Propane Gas Grill (Lawn & Patio)
This grill is the goods! The grill is basically the same as the highly rated Silver A&B, but it has a side burner. I did not think I would use the side burner, but I am now glad I have it as I can make entire meals outside. This grill heats up in a hurry, cooks evenly, tastes great and is very easy to use. There are heating directions printed right on the grill and it comes with a cookbook--which has a lot of great recipes. About the only difference between this Silver and the Gold, Platinum and Summit is stainless steel versus porcelin cooking services. I actually think the Porcelin is easier to wipe down and at about $500 to $1500,it is a lot easier on the pocket book. Very happy so far with Weber quality and sturdiness. GO BUY ONE NOW!

Easy enough for a complete gas grill novice!,
By Shelly and Roy Johnson (Houston, TX United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Weber 2265001 Blue Genesis Silver C Propane Gas Grill (Lawn & Patio)
Before last weekend, I'd never used a gas grill, let alone put one together. The assembly instructions were generally clear and easy to follow. The propane tank lifts easily off and on the fuel gauge. Cooking with it was a blast! It lights up easily and heats up very quickly, yet doesn't burn your food. I cooked (with a bit of creative arranging) 6 chicken leg quarters, 5 ears of corn on the cob (in the husks) and 2 giant vegetable shish-ka-bobs. The temperature gauge in the lid of the grill that doubles as a meat thermometer is ingenious. I grew up on charcoal, but I'll never go back. The beauty of dumping the little drain tray out once it's cooled (hint: put it in the dishwasher and get a few more uses out of the disposable tray) as well as not alternately burning/undercooking the food has made me a Weber gas grill convert for life. It was an entirely pleasant cooking experience and the grill is beautiful to look at to boot!

My favorite grill. The sideburner is very useful.,
This review is from: Weber 2261001 Black Genesis Silver C Propane Gas Grill (Lawn & Patio)
Everybody in the backyard! The Genesis Silver C offers lots of handyfeatures for grilling enthusiasts like you. The 10,000 BTU-per-hourside burner allows you to make side dishes right there at the grill, so you don't have to run back and forth to the kitchen. You can light all three burners successively using the Crossover Ignition System, then adjust each burner individually for ultimate control of the 36,000 BTU-per-hour input. Just above the flames, Weber's patented Flavorizer Bars eliminate flare-ups by turning cooking juices into flavorful smoke. Any excess juices run into the removable drip pan for easy clean-up. Invite the neighbors, since the expansive cooking area allows you to cook several full racks of ribs at once on the porcelain-enameled cooking grates. The sturdy swing-up Thermoset work table gives you room for extra utensils and sauces and folds out of the way when you don't need it. The all-weather wheels are crackproof and the locking casters keep the unit in place. Liquid Propane models come with a 20-lb. LP tank. Natural Gas Models have a 12-foot quick-disconnect hose. Also has the limited lifetime warranty that comes with all weber grills

This review is from: Weber 2261001 Black Genesis Silver C Propane Gas Grill (Lawn & Patio)
The Weber genesis series is top notch in outdoor cooking and the 2261001 is their flagship. With its large capacity chamber and trademark flavor bars you'll be grillin in style. The gas side burners keep sauces and side dishes on the ready. Its built to last and beautiful to boot. I highly recommend it!

Gotta Love it!!,

This has to be my favorite grill, and I've owned (and asssembled) many different types of grills. It blows away the lightweight competition such as Charbroil and Kenmore. So versatile, it could substitute for your indoor kitchen. This winter, I shoveled a path to the grill so we could have that WEBER feeling at least a few times a week. I enjoy the sideburner in the summer for steaming corn and other veggies. This will be the last grill I own!! The gorgeous blue lid really complements the decor around the pool, so it's aesthetic as well as utilitarian!

Wonderful Grill!,

We love this grill! After 10 years of having to replace our grill every 2-3 years, because we bought lower quaility ones, this grill was a real treat to buy! Not only does it look nice, but the food is fantastic! It heats more evenly, so the food looks like it was prepared by a gourmet chef! Weber has produced a truly wonderfully grill. We would recommend it to anyone! In fact, we bought one for our parents this year for Christmas!

Charcoal grill...what's that?,
By "pd2k" (NYC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Weber 2262001 Burgundy Genesis Silver C Propane Gas Grill (Lawn & Patio)
I swore that I would ever purchase a gas grill. I was always biased toward charcoal grills-- I prefered the smokey flavor. However after months of cajoling by my siblings I finally purchasing a gas grill. After the first use, I was hooked. This grill is awsome! It burns very clean and even. The Flavorizor Bars make the food taste exactly as a charcoal grill would, but without the mess. The cast iron grill plates make grilling and cleanup a snap (...). I recommend as a consumer to shop around for best prices before purchasing. I highly recommend this grill.
