Why Weber is better,
By Brad Smith "Live Well" (Slater (Upstate) South Carolina, United States) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)

Before purchasing my grill, I read a magazine article, which rated gas grills. This article compared things like temperature consistency across the grill surface including the corners, functionality and durability. The Weber Genesis did the best of the grills compared. I know this is more money than many other grills, but trust me it is worth it.

Why I Love my New Weber Grill,
By "tammyming" (Raymondville, New York USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Weber 2365001 Blue Genesis Silver C Natural Gas Grill (Lawn & Patio)
This is simply the best grill I've ever worked with. It was recommended that I look into Weber when I started shopping for a grill and I liked everything I've read about the brand. Although it took a little longer than I expected to have it delivered ..., but it was worth the wait. The assembly was easy, once the basic chassis was put together. It was a matter of sliding everything in place and tighten. The grill was easy to use as well. The temperature is so easy to control and the side burner was definitely helpful. No more running in and out of the house while grilling. A+++++

The last grill you will ever buy!,

I've had a few charcoal grills and gas grills that cost me more than a few dineros. The last LP gas grill I owned practically got rusted up and was falling apart (Paid some 200 buckaroos for that too some 5 years back) not to mention the worst thing is running out of propane right in the middle of a bbq. Should I lug the tank for refill or should I toss everything into the oven? Hmmm, talk about interruption! Anyway, when I had my house built, I decided to cough up [the money] just to run a natural gas line to the back of the house so I can get this grill that I've heard raves about. Now I can see first hand what the raves are all about. The grill was very simple to assemble. No little parts beside the screws and the construction looks very sturdy and solid. The only problem I had was hooking up the gas line as I needed a few adaptors from the local hardware store to "downsize and gender change" the gas line connection. The hookup has a quick disconnect type too so after you are done, you can unplug and store away the gas line cleanly (for those what want to wheel it into a shed afterwards). After attaching the gas line, everything just fired up and off I grill and man, what a grill it is! The entire cooking area burns very evenly. I was totally suprised to see the meat I stuffed in the corner cooks just as evenly as the pieces right in the middle. There seems to be no hot spot or cold spots anywhere if you fire up all the burners. Also I seem to grill better as I have yet to burn anything even when I forgot about the meat left on the grill (I remember those blackened piece of meat with my old grill...grrr). I am excited to bbq now and am collecting more recipe just to find an excuse to fire up the ol' Weber. Just got done with a 10 hour Texas smoked beef brisket on it for the first time and it turned out perfect. Sniff, sniff, it just bring a tear to my eye. It's true what they say, "Everybody eventually buys a Weber!" BTW, if your grill is going to be exposed to weather, spring for the matching Weber cover. It's a bit more..but Weber stuffs screams quality. It will last you a long time. I'm gonna get that rotisserie kit next to try out on my new toy.

Lot's of Flames,

I agree with Greg from Denver - the Weber product is not the quality you would expect from Weber. My grill has a hot spot in the back left side - while the other areas are not as hot. I have multiple times cleaned the entire BBQ and I still get flares shooting up - they said they will not have flames, but when I open the lid the flames are out of control and flare up to 3/4 feet!!! I have even burned the hairs on my beard and arms too many times!! I continually have to dose the flames with water. You have to always check the flames - what a drag!!! If you do not watch the flames every few minutes, the meat will be burned and you will have everyone at the BBQ staring at you and thinking what an idiot!! He can't even BBQ meat with burning it!!
