great grill,

This review is from: Weber 2003 Model 2371001 Genesis Silver A Natural Gas Grill, Black (Lawn & Patio)
Just the down and dirty. This a great quality grill which I have been using frequently over the past year or so. I've been very pleased with its performance and really have nothing negative to say. Four out of five stars because you always have room for improvement. For those of you that can afford the price, it is a solid investment in a dependable grill.

Great grill, but two concerns,

I really like this grill, but there are two things to keep in mind. First, if you are thinking of lots of indirect cooking (roasts and such like), you might be happier with the Silver B with three burners, so the heat is on two sides. Second, the assembly instructions tell you to check ALL of the gas fittings, including the one under the control panel. DO THIS! I overlooked it and wound up with a fire under the panel. Weber replaced the damaged parts without charge quickly and without fuss, but it was really my fault.

I "graduated" to the Weber after after using a Kenmore propane grill for two years. Can you say "Night and Day"? Example: Assembly time: Kenmore 3 hours- Weber 10 minutes. The best thing that can be said for the Kenmore is that it worked intermittently. The Weber is a great grill, solid, well-designed, and very reliable. Hooking it up to natural gas means no more drives to the gas station. Yes! Other reviews complain about losing BBQ flavor when switching to gas. I drop cedar or mesquite pieces into my Weber and cannot honestly tell the difference. I love this grill!
