5.0 out of 5 stars Weber enthusiasts and vegetable lovers...a must!, February 11, 2002

This review is from: Weber 3802 Vegetable Holder (Lawn & Patio)
These little items (4 included in the product, which hold 2 veggies each!) will help your potato and corn on the cob BBQ woes. These gems hold the vegetables at an angle while grilling, allowing heat to circulate around the food.
If you enjoy vegetables with your BBQ, but hate the scorching and square inches they devour on the grill...these are a hit!

I cooked a couple Idaho's the other night, in 40 minutes they were the best potatos I have ever prepared.

Quality? They are Weber...enough said.

5.0 out of 5 stars Corn is great, July 6, 2005

Just pull off most of the outside husk leaving it wrapped and cut off the extra husk and silk at the open end. Soak your corn for about 10 minutes in sugar water and put the cob on one of these holders on high heat. Within 15 minutes, you have the tastiest corn ever without having to worry about burning it. Plus the holders give you extra room on the grates.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not prefect, August 23, 2010

It does what it says, I had some problems with the potatoes that were on the smaller size, they would rip off the stand when they were cooking. Bigger ones worked good and cooked great, and nothing beats grills corn. If you are cooking a lot of food they do take up some room while cooking but for a family of 4, I can get everything on the grill.

NOW THAT FRESH SWEET CORN IS IN OUR FARMERS MARKETS WE DECIDED TO TRY THE VEGETABLE HOLDER. IN THE PAST WE WOULD LAY THE CORN ON THE GRILL. WE THOUGHT THAT KEEPING IT UP OFF THE GRILL AND AT A ANGLE SO IT WOULD BASTE ITSELF. THE CORN TURNED OUT PERFECT. WE SOAKED THE CORN IN SALT WATER FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS WITH THE HUSKS ON. WE THEN SQUIRED THE CORN ON THE HOLDER AND LET IT ROAST FOR TWENTY MINUTES. WOW. WE WILL TRY POTATOES, ONIONS AND SQUASH LATER WHEN SWEET CORN IS NOT AVAILABLE.

5.0 out of 5 stars Weber vegetable holder, September 8, 2009

This item is far more useful that it appears. What it allows is for you to cook food without having to worry about turning it. I've used it for corn, onions, and potatoes. When I have a big party, I use one Weber kettle on low heat just for cooking the baked potatoes. At aobut 200 degrees, you can cook the potatoes for 2-4 hours. When you take them off the grill, beat them a few times to crush the inside, then open them up and add butter, or whatever. Jim Rossi
