Its the Best Grill for the money!,
By
This review is from: Weber 3880001 Genesis S-320 Natural Gas Grill, Stainless Steel (Lawn & Patio)
The Weber was top rated by a consumer testing firm and they are right. It cooks great, has lots of power and can also cook at low temps. I owned my last Weber for over 15 years and love this new one. You can spend less and get lower quality and more for a bigger grill; but this grill looks great, cooks great and is big enough for most peoples needs. We have had this grill for over three years and still like it.

Did the research at consumers reports, read the other reviews, and everyone was absolutely right on the money... you could spend thousands of dollars, but you'll never get as good a grill as this one. Cooks evenly, gets ultra hot, barbeques the best steak you've ever had. Easy to put together (if you have some mechanical aptitude) and very user friendly. Highly recommended!!

We were without a grill for 2 years (believe it or not!) and this was worth the wait. My husband and a friend put it together in about 2 hours and it's amazing. Heats up fast, cooks very well and looks nice. Couldn't be happier!

It is such a great grill that I don't even know what to write. This has been one of the best buys we've made. It heats quite fast and it is not hard to clean. We soak the movable parts in soapy warm water and it is a lot easier. Everything we grill comes out perfect!!! Definetly you need to get one of this if you have a natural gas feed.

Based on other reviews and the high caliber of the Weber line, I purchased this grill. The shipment actually arrived the day before it was promised. No damage.
The instructions, once I figured out how to use them, were the best I've ever encountered. It took 10-15 minutes to figure them out, since they were pictoral and had virtually no narrative explanation. For each step, one had to consult three different sheets. Weber would do a service by including a sheet explaining this to the assembler. Once the assembly instructions were understood, it took only about 1-1/2 hours to put the grill together. The materials are solid, and the design is appealing. The grill works like a charm! Heat control is accurate. A nice cookbook is included, and it includes tips on how to maximize the utility of the grill. I couldn't recommend it more highly! 7/14/09--I've edited this review to reflect 3 months of hard use. I continue to be delighted with it. It is very, very easy to clean using just Windex. I bought one of the griddle accessories (Weber 7532 Cast Iron Griddle)that Weber makes specifically for the grill, and you can turn out dozens of sliders in no time. (We made 180 for a graduation party!) Doing chicken, burgers, steaks, and fish is a snap. I did need a bit of time to appreciate how hot this natural gas model will get, but the heat controls allow both direct and indirect heat. Finally, I elected to buy the Veranda Cart Barbecue Cover, Medium, Pebble, up to 58-inches Wide cover rather than the Weber cover. The large size fits this grill perfectly. This cover is sturdy and very attractive.

This is the best gas grill I ever had.
1)It has very solid construction and effective design. 2)Low flareups design smokes the food without burning it. 3)Quick and even heating make food so tasty and juicy 4)Both high heat and low heat are working very well. 5) I love it. The S-320 grill worth for the money.

We got this grill several months ago, and our son and I assembled it in about an hour, with no real trouble. It worked perfectly right from the start (I was always a charcoal grill person--Weber kettle--before this, with very little experience using a gas grill). It started fast and got up to about 550 degrees right away, and it was fairly easy to clean, except for the inclined drip catcher; but I probably overdid cleaning that (trying to get it back to mint condition). Even in 32-degree weather with the wind blowing on it, the grill heats up well for searing things. The key is that it is very solidly made, with first-rate materials and thoughtfully designed. Weber just plain knows what it is doing and doesn't cut corners. That makes it worth the money.

Weber Doesn't Disappoint!,

This review is from: Weber 3880001 Genesis S-320 Natural Gas Grill, Stainless Steel (Lawn & Patio)
First time use was a pleasure, all that I expected. I have used the grill once with huge success, based on the crowd pleasing ribs it produced. It got very hot, very quickly, but also maintained a nice low heat once I got used to burner adjustments. I'm new to Weber gas grills (I love my kettle) but I'm no stranger to their reputation of quality and consistency.
I looked and looked at the competition, half hoping to find something that would sway me away from a Weber, but I kept coming back to "old" reliable Weber. Sure lots of other grills offered more bells and whistles(searing burners, fridge, IR rear burners)at the same price point, but none seemed to offer the material and build quality of the Weber line. Plus I feel confident that when it's time for parts, I'll actually find them for my Weber, not so with some discontinued brand X competitor. Now I will admit that I wish Weber had gone to front-mount controls by now on the Spirit and Genesis lines as they have for some time with the Summit line. If I have one knock on the grill, it would be on burner layout. Time will tell if it becomes an issue or not. Based on reviews and product demos on [...], I don't suspect that it will. Overall great grill but not cheap, at the end of the day you end up trading features for quality. I'll take quality all day.

Well-engineered grill. "That last grill you'll ever have to buy",

My primary objective in choosing this grill was to get something that would last. After assembly and three weeks of use, I say mission accomplished -- This grill is engineered to last a long, long time, plus replacement parts are readily available online and in stores. All of the materials seem to be more durable than any grill I've ever owned -- Stainless steel burners, Stainless steel on most visible surfaces, cast aluminum for the main bucket and sides, and what appears to be baked-on powder coat or enamel everywhere else (the areas that don't get hot) such as the base frame. The performance is also outstanding. With all three burners on high, it pre-heats to 600 degrees F in ~5 minutes. I've never experienced steak searing like this. Yet with three burners on low, it settles at 300 degrees. If you turn off the middle burner it can be even lower for slow roasting. Amazing range and control. Easy battery-powered ignition. Gorgeous appearance. Assembly was a lengthy process due to many parts and steps, but there was nothing difficult about it. I was skeptical seeing only pictures and no words on the assembly instructions but they were perfect and amazingly easy to follow. Beware that you will need 2 people for unpacking and for lifting the main grill assembly onto the base frame (it's big and heavy!). And you'll have to unpack it all before you can assemble much as some of the early parts are in the bottom. Also beware that you will have a huge pile of corrugated cardboard packaging material to recycle. Bonus surprise: Designed, engineered, and manufactured in the USA. For the money I'm not aware of any similar grill that's made in the USA or built so well. Highly recommended for whenever you are ready to make a lasting, wise investment in outdoor cooking.
