5.0 out of 5 stars Charcoal Rails
If you have a Weber or other kettle grill, these are a must have. Cheap too.

Keeping the coals contained for indirect cooking make it easy to add coal, either with or hinged grill, or by lifting the edge of a regular Grill.

Grab some drip pans too, (but wash 'em, don't throw 'em away each time) and go slow smoke something yummy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great idea but mine rusted
While I have to applaud the idea, I am very disappointed with how this product stands up over time. Mine rusted within one or two months of buying them. They were outside protected by my grill so its not like they weren't protected.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what you need for indirect cooking., April 19, 2005

I love these little buggers, they keep the charcoal on the side of my One-Touch that way I can do some nice indirect cooking. Also, I use them for direct grilling when I grill for just myself and my wife. For direct grilling I move them a little bit closer together and I put the charcoal in the middle that way they contain the charcoal in a smaller area allowing me to use much less charcoal and still get a lot of heat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Essential, May 26, 2006

These two ingenious pieces of wire are an absolutely essential part of any Weber Kettle. In addition to allowing you to do easy indirect cooking, they can be used to easily "zone" your grill by holding the coals in the center or off to one side. They are very easy to move, and don't limit the amount of airflow around the coals like the useless baskets that come with the Performer and other high-end kettles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Got to have'em, September 26, 2011

If you cook with charcoal you have to have these. Great for in-direct cooking.
Keeps coals away from drip pans. Put them in and leave them.
This is the first accessory I buy for a grill.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just what you need for indirect cooking, October 9, 2008
This review is from: Weber 3901 Charcoal Rails (Lawn & Patio)
Great for all your indirect cooking that you may want to do on your grill. Once they are put in place they are secure and don't move at all. They may get messy with drippings, etc. but if you put a disposable drip pan with some water in it in the center of the grill you will catch most of the grease, etc. and also get the moist heat that is desirable for long term roasting that will keep the roast, ribs or whatever nice and moist.
