Great fire starters.
Woofy
There is nothing wrong with using the newspaper but since I don't get it on a regular basis the cubes are so much better.
Rayzer
The product works great and is reliable.

This is without a doubt the best way to start a grill. Toss one of these little jewels in among the charcoal, touch a match to it, and 15 minuted later you've got fire! Forget chimmneys and starter fluid. The Firestarters are odorless and tasteless. The only problem: try finding them at a brick-and-mortar retailer! In this area only Lowes OCCASIONALLY has them. Get with it Home Depot, Ace, and even Lowes: you're losing my business to the Amazon vendors.

I was a bit skeptical of these at first, thinking it was a bit otiose to use them considering how easy crumbling newspaper is for my chimney starter. However, I got them as a gift and may not ever go back to newspaper. All you need is one, light it up under your chimney, and pour coals over. That's it, you're done - and you don't have any newspaper remains to scatter with the wind or get on your food!! I'm thinking about bringing a few of these on my next camping trip as well since they will light even when wet I'll never have a problem starting a fire.

I've just purchased a Kamado dome grill and was looking for something that would lite the charcoal without all the hassle. These worked out great. They were easy to lite and burned long enough to get the lump charcoal started. I had to use 3 for a medium size amount of lump charcoal. I like using them. I still use my chimney starter also.

These things are the best, but as others have mentioned, I wish I could buy these in a local store. I have used these for two years now and absolutely love them. I just pop one under my charcoal chimney, light it and in a few minutes we're good to go. I actually just bought six boxes of these so I could stock up for the year. I highly recommend these firestarters! Say goodbye to lighter fluid!

I cannot think of an easier way to start a fire, be it charcoal on the Performer grill instead of using expensive propane bottles, or a wood fire in the fireplace. These things light instantly and burn forever.

Initially, user error (me) caused a problem with the use of the product. After speaking with a customer service representative, all is well and happy grilling is achieved much more easily. I would highly recommend dealing with this company and the product.

I cannot even describe to you how great this product is. I bbq everday during the summer(and even winter) and use a chimney starter. I have always used newspaper to get the fire started but it always took to long and used too much paper. I decided to buy these cubes and try them out. It was so easy. I just put two cubes under the chimney lit them and went inside. After about 20 minutes the charcoal was ready. If you are addicted to bbq or if you do it occasionaly you should not hesitate to buy these. You will wonder why you ever used paper or lighter fluid in the first place.

There simply is no better way to get your charcoals fired up in a chimney. The Firestarters are simple to use. They are quick. They are efficient. They are non-toxic, odorless and tasteless. The only downside is that they cost money (not alot); whereas newspaper is relatively free.
