Weber Q Series Portable Gas Grill

Ready, Set, On the Go

Now you can have all the fresh, grilled flavors you love anytime, anywhere with Weber's convenient, portable gas grill. Choose from simple and compact to ultra-convenient and loaded with features.

Weber's Original Gas Grilling System

Notice how sturdy the shroud feels as it opens smoothly on its hinges? See how the burners roar to life on the very first try? Delighted by how simple it is to achieve a mouthwatering meal every time? It's no accident. Weber spends countless hours perfecting the grilling systems on its gas grills, assuring easy assembly, an evenly heated cooking surface, and precision controls so you can tone things down or up to the perfect heat level for direct or indirect cooking.

Cookbox and Shroud

The cookbox houses the components of the cooking system: cooking grates, burner tubes, and the grease management system.

Made of cast aluminum, Weber's gas-grill cookboxes are durable, efficient, require minimal care and maintenance, and can withstand the heat needed to grill at any temperature. In addition, the shape of the cookbox, when combined with the shroud, allows for the proper circulation of heat around food for even cooking whether you're using direct or indirect heat.

Cooking Grates

Weber gas-grill cooking grates come in three exceptional materials: porcelain-enameled steel, stainless steel, and porcelain-enameled cast iron. Each type retains heat evenly and sears food beautifully. Porcelain-enameled steel cooking grates are durable and easy to clean. Stainless steel rod cooking grates make lovely sear marks, hold heat very well, and clean up with ease. Porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates combine the ease of porcelain-enameled with the superior heat retention of cast-iron.

Burner Tubes

Weber's burners are made of high-grade stainless steel, which will stand up to the small amounts of water found in liquid propane and natural gas. The burner tubes are made of a singular piece of steel with no welds, making them stronger and more resistant to rust and burn-through. Weber gas-grill burner tubes can be cleaned easily by gently brushing with a Weber stainless-steel grill brush.

The burners are spaced to provide heat across the entire cooking grate. The burner valve has infinite control settings, so you can fine-tune the heat levels.

Grease Management

When juices drip off the meat, they funnel down into the grease management system. The grease management system consists of an angled grease tray and catch pan. The grease tray rests beneath the cookbox a safe distance from the burner tubes to prevent the grease from catching fire. Grease is channeled down the grease tray and into the catch pan. Both the grease tray and catch pan are easy to clean. The tray easily slides out of the cabinet for cleaning, and when the catch pan starts to fill, simply remove the disposable drip pan, toss it in the trash, and replace it with an empty pan.

The Q 300 Portable Gas Grill

As part of the Weber Q series, the Q 300 full-size portable gas grill provides a 393-square-inch cooking area, an impressive 21,700-BTU per-hour input, and two stainless-steel burners for fast heating, as well as push-button ignition and an adjustable burner valve for just the right amount of heat. The grill also comes with porcelain-enameled cast-iron cooking grates, a removable drip pan, a built-in lid thermometer, and two removable folding side work tables with tool hooks. The grill uses a 20-pound LP tank (sold separately). Made with a cast-aluminum lid and body with a glass-reinforced nylon frame and a titanium-color painted finish, the grill measures 30 inches long by 50-1/5 inches wide by 55-1/2 inches high and carries a five-year limited warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Shelf October 1, 2006
By Allison
Although I'm a diehard charcoal fan, I do believe that a gas grill has it's place.

I've owned a Weber One Touch Performer with the gas ignition for over 13 years, and use it about 4 times a week. It looks as good today as it did when I first bought it. Weber is a wonderful company that always stocks parts even on discontinued models, and their customer service is second to none.

As well, I own a couple of smokers and an island gas grill from Barbecues Galore. The ignition no longer works on the gas grill, after only a couple of years, and thus far I've been unable to get a replacement from them. Interestingly, I only used the grill maybe twice a month.

Well, I bought the Q 300 about 3 weeks ago, thinking I'd use it occasionally. Guess what? I can't stop using it. It's that great.

I put it together with little effort, and it's really a nice looking piece of equipment. Also, the cover is extremely well made.

The Q 300 lights quietly and effortlessly. The grill heats to over 500 degrees in less than 10 minutes.

The best part? The porcelain coated cast iron grates.

If you want a grill capable of really searing, and creating serious grill marks, than look no further.

Of all the grills I have now and have previously owned, none have created the grills marks that this baby does.

And, not just on meat. It grills veggies like nobody's business.

I love the way they have the perimeter burner as well as the burner which runs through the middle. This allows you to cook with indirect heat if you turn of the middle burner.

It has lots of room for cooking, while at the same time using a small footprint if you lower the side tables.

Add to all this the Weber 5 year warranty, their excellent customer service, and their reputation for quality.

You can't go wrong.

Yes, you can get many gas grills for less money. But, in my experience, they don't last.

You get what you pay for, if you're lucky.

If you're even thinking about buying this grill, then don't hesitate. You'll be glad you bought it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this grill July 8, 2007
By Edward
I've had the Q300 for about 10 weeks and grilled on it 3-4 times per week. Grilled steaks, roasts, chicken (both direct and indirect heat), pork
loins, hamburgers and hotdogs and the Q300 handled it all.

Gets hot fast:
From start with both burners on high...3 minutes grill is at 310 degrees....7 minutes 400 degrees.....10 minutes 520 degrees....14 minutes maxes out at 590 degrees

I like to cook chicken and pork over indirect heat, so I really like having the two burners with separate controls. The larger burner runs the perimeter of the grill and a second, smaller burner, goes down the center.

Outside burner only (High)..maintains 400 degrees,(Low)..300 degrees
Center burner only (High)..maintains 300 degrees,(Low)..200 degrees
Both burners on (High)..maintains 590 degrees, (Low)..500 degrees

Heavy duty cast-iron cooking grates. Grates dimensions are 25" x 17.5".

5.0 out of 5 stars Big enough for a family December 30, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase
I won't elaborate since the other reviews do a great job. Just want to add my 2 cents that the grill is outstanding - gets hot quickly, cooks everything you throw at it, and has plenty of surface space for grilling for about 6-8 people.

If you frequently throw parties then buy a larger grill, but if you primarily grill for the family then this one is excellent!
