Okay let me start off by saying that I don actually own one of these yet, but I will. I used a neighbors and it was awesome. This baby has it all! Sure you can spend thousands more on stainless steel BBQ monsters, but you'll never be disappointed with a Weber. BIG and great features, but poor performer.
This has been trouble from the get-go. We've used it for less than a season and it has been very unreliable -- doesn't heat evenly, cooking times do not correspond to what's written in the manual, often requires numerous complicated procedures to get lit. We previously owned a smaller Weber Genesis grill for 15 years and had no problems. Apart from the nice big cooking...

Okay let me start off by saying that I don actually own one of these yet, but I will. I used a neighbors and it was awesome. This baby has it all! Sure you can spend thousands more on stainless steel BBQ monsters, but you'll never be disappointed with a Weber. This grill is absolutely perfect. I have used it almost daily since owning it and have had no problems with it whatsoever. The burners provide a wonderful uniform cooking source and it is extremely easy to start. All you do is turn the knob to "Start" and push the ignition button. Other grills I have owned have required several clicks of the switch to start, not this one!! One push of the button and you're on your way. If you are going to store this grill outside, I highly recommend the purchase of Weber's Platinum grill cover. It's a little pricey, but worth it. The cover Amazon sent was torn and it took them a while to replace it, so be sure to look over what Amazon ships. The other cool thing about Weber is their customer service. I called them to register this beautiful machine and they were extremely helpful on the phone. I have also visited Weber's website and found lots of recipes and cooking instructions there. Extremely helpful!! If you're willing to spend $1500+ on a grill, this is the one.

We previously owned a smaller Weber Genesis grill for 15 years and had no problems. Apart from the nice big cooking and storage spaces and the side burner for heating sauces, this big grill has been nothing but a BIG waste of money.
