This grill is solid as a rock and very efficient. It fired up cleanly the first time, and it achieved a 400 degree oven heat in about 5 minutes. Beautiful, even flame. Be careful putting it together. The instructions are drawings, mostly without words, and not always as clear as they might be. But, the grill can be assembled in about an hour, even with a few retracing of steps.

The box is big and heavy but went together in about an hour. It is sturdy and solid, not like those cheaper, multi-burner models. This thing will last. Nice, even heat and can cook more than the description implys. Plus, it comes in natural gas version so no tanks to lug around.

I love it. It was actually easier to assemble than I thought it might be based on other reviews. I was plesantly surprised to find Weber had included all the tools needed to assemble it because it was not really spelled out--may have been my failure to review all notes. It works just like it is supposed to be, including the lighter--unlike other grills I have had.

This is the most efficient BBQ grill I have ever owned. It was also fun and challanging putting it together. The instructions were pretty good though. Just follow them exactley.

I purchased this product from Amazon because finding a BBQ with gas hookup in stores is vitally impossible and necessitates a special order. Also-I wasn't sure it would fit in my two door car so it saved me the effort of borrowing a car as well at the same price including shipping as the local Home Depot.

The box is HUGE and heavy so more than likely you will need two people to move this to an area for assembly. I did not assemble this item but understood it took about 3 hours. It is on wheels so the item is very mobile. After it was put together I simply rolled it to my gas hookup, turned on the gas and followed ignition instructions. Voilà, BBQ!

As you have read, the flame burns very even no matter where the food is on the grill and the Weber heats up fast! I recently had a 15 person party and grilled burgers and chicken fast and easily to raves from my friends.

Simply put- this BBQ does exactly what you want and need with a great flame. Sounds like great longevity as well but I obviously cannot speak to that at this time.

Note: I use this almost every day even to heat leftovers because it is so easy and makes the food so much more flavorful.

Note: the ignitor is not working due to being slightly detached from the button. Not sure if this is error from assembly or slight manufacturer error so I simply light with lighter stick- no biggie. I could prob Jerry rig a fix.

Item is a staple in my household!

Works well. Don't plan on setting it up in 1 hour if you are by yourself. It heats up very quickly and lights with ease. Seems to cook real well.

My only real complaint is the plastic wheels on the base. They don't do much to keep it in place. When the wind started blowing the other night, despite the wheel locks, the thing rolled down my sidewalk and crashed. It was a big storm though.

I love my new grill. It was easy to assemble and works great. Being a Weber is a plus as I know it is a quality item.

Even thought this is the so called "entry level" Weber, it is solidly built and built to last. It burns very evenly and lights every time. On the natural gas version, there is some things to get used to if you have never used natural gas grills. First, it is much quiter then propane and the flames are harder to see, thus be careful to be sure it is turned on when you light it, you have to look closre or feel that it is heated. Also, always light with the cover up, a basic rule for every grill, but since it is hard to see if lit, take more precaution. Finally, since you can never run out of gas (a good thing), be sure you turn it off completely and check afterwards, it is possible to forget and let it run for days since there is no tank to run out. Just some precautionary thoughts, other then getting used to those nuances, it is a great grill. I bought the $70 cast iron grates, well worth the prices. Be sure to season them by coating them with oil 2-3 times and heating the grill for 5-10 minutes, then letting it cool down between coatings, this will season and prepare the grates.

There's a reason Weber has such a great reputation, and our new grill lives up to that. We couldn't be more pleased with it, and it's definitely worth the extra cost.

First, the delivery was great, received it right away on our doorstep. The assembly was exactly as everybody else mentions -- plan on an hour or so. It's not rocket science, but the assembly instructions were not drawn as clearly as they could have been. I admit I put together a couple of pieces, then had to take them apart and mount them a different way -- but nothing horrible. Just a little patience and it's all together.

Then, the grill itself is great. First, the burners are layed out completely different from most gas grills: they're set up as a front and rear horizontal strip (instead of left and right). So if you're not cooking a lot of food, and don't need the whole grill going, then you just plunk your food down along the whole front of the grill. Which means you don't have to reach over the flames to turn things over at the rear. Once you use it, it seems so obvious that you wonder why nobody else does it that way.

Other little features -- the lighter is amazing (though lighters never seem to last a really long time). The grill racks are nice and easy to clean, and there's a clever drip runoff ramp that goes into a disposable container. Very ingenious.

We have the model that hooks directly into a natural gas line via a flexible hose, so I can't comment on ease of swapping out propane tanks, but there's a substantial space under the grill with easy-open doors to access the tanks.

At least for us, this was definitely a great choice.

Got this grill to replace my 8+ years old Genesis Silver C -- if I even remember the name correctly -- which has finally lost some of its more important guts to rust. Could have fixed it, but I always wanted to use that outside gas line I have...

Pros:

- It's a Weber, 'nuff said! You don't go wrong with those.

- Got it delivered in 2 days, and that's with free shipping

- Reasonably straightforward assembly and hookup to gas line (no problems that couldn't be solved with a quick trip to Home Depot and nice long-handled grips ;))

Cons:

- For $400+ on sale, cast iron cooking grate is a must. I used the ones from my old grill: they look like they'll last 50 years.

- Frame construction seems a notch less sturdy than on my old faithful. Cost s[h]avings?

- That stainless-steel finish looks cheapo, and will not wear well outdoors. Make it all black enamel and plastic, Weber.
