5.0 out of 5 stars Fits the Weber Q 320 Too
I corresponded with several vendors to be sure that this cover would fit my new Weber Q 320. The ads all state that it fits the 300, but interestingly enough, even the representatives from Weber wouldn't guarantee that it would fit the 320. 3.0 out of 5 stars Good quality, design isn't very good though.
After seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I decided to try this cover for my Q320.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits the Weber Q 320 Too, June 26, 2008
This review is from: Weber 6553 Premium Cover for Weber Q-300 Grill (Lawn & Patio)
I corresponded with several vendors to be sure that this cover would fit my new Weber Q 320. The ads all state that it fits the 300, but interestingly enough, even the representatives from Weber wouldn't guarantee that it would fit the 320. I'm happy to confirm that it fits the 320 perfectly. I bought mine from a brick and mortar store because they would take it back (no shipping and handling). The factory box the cover came in stated that it would fit the "Weber Q 300 Series" grills. Fortunately I'm enjoying my Weber Q 320 and the cover. Someone should really tell the Weber employees about this well-kept secret.

This is the nicest grill cover we have owned. Fits perfectly with a flat vinyl handle on top and a mesh section on the upper back of the cover. This may be to prevent condensation buildup beneath cover on grill by allowing air to circulate/escape. This might also be a good safety feature to prevent buildup of gas under the cover in the event of a slight gas leak from the tank, even though the tank valve should always be turned off and the grill cool before covering.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good quality, design isn't very good though., December 7, 2009
This review is from: Weber 6553 Premium Cover for Weber Q-300 Grill (Lawn & Patio)
After seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews, I decided to try this cover for my Q320.

It does fit very well. I'm accustomed to a cover that comes down to the ground, perhaps even velcros a bit tighter to stay on in wind. This cover does NOT have velcro, and does NOT reach the ground. The photo is almost accurate, it barely comes over the top of the wheels. Do not count on it to protect anything stored on the rack at the base.

The vent... I can't say what this is for. In my case, it is bad. I do not have a roof over my grill, and the mesh vent will most definitely let rain/snow/ice and other elements in, right on top of the grill! What on earth is the point of a cover, if not to cover the grill and protect it from the elements?? Once the water is in, the solid portion of the cover will help retain the moisture against the grill. My iron grates already rust a bit with a solid cover, I hate to see what will happen if I use this one without 'fixing' it.

Very bad design flaw. If it's for venting or wind blow-through, it needs to have a solid flap over the mesh to protect from precipitation. I can't imagine what the designer was thinking.

I like the fit enough to keep the cover, but I need to make some sort of cover for my cover, so the weather doesn't ruin the top of the grill. I think I'll try a piece of my old cover, or just some rubber made into a flap, and use vulcanizing glue (like bicycle tire patch glue) to attach the flap on the top edge only so it can still breath, but won't get wet.

4.0 out of 5 stars 2010 Version - Some Changes, May 23, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Weber 6553 Premium Cover for Weber Q-300 Grill (Lawn & Patio)
The previous reviews are a couple of years old, and they have changed this cover from my older version. If I recall, this is less costly than the original I purchased in 2006. Some changes are better, some are worse.

I just purchased the current version in 5/2010, these are the differences:

Better:
1. Fits much better. The older version was too tight, causing the burner controls to turn to the ON position as you covered it.
2. Doesn't have the mesh openings in the top/rear. This caused the rain water to remain lodged on the enamel lid paint, causing mine to peel and chip. Weber replaced my lid under the 5 yr warranty - very nice on their part.
3. Has a pull handle on top.

Worse:
1. Much thinner vinyl. The older cover was a really nice substantial material that almost didn't seem like vinyl. This one is good, but much thinner and more shiny vinyl-like look and feel.

This is the only cover for this model, and it is still well worth it

4.0 out of 5 stars It sure does cover well!, August 8, 2008
This review is from: Weber 6553 Premium Cover for Weber Q-300 Grill (Lawn & Patio)
A hi-quality cover.

Minor gripe: There's a "vent" on the back of which is a netted-material section. When it rained, some moisture did get in through this part, but very little. With that being said, you may want to check your grill after a heavy rain.

Happy with the product. Happy with how it looks, happy with how it fits, and happy with the price. But make sure you have a Q300 or Q320 grill - if you have any of the Q100 or Q200 models, this won't fit!

5.0 out of 5 stars great weber q320 gas grill cover, September 21, 2008

Very nice cover, high quality material and a great fit.
It also fits the Weber Q320 -which I have - although it states it is made for the Weber Q300.
The Q320 is the newer version of the Q300 and has several improvements as to warming area and lighting up the grill.

I highly recommend this cover, if you are looking for a cover for your Weber q300 or Q320.

Bought this for my new Weber Q320 Grill. It fits the grill perfectly except that you have to fold down the shelves on each side before you can put the case on. Just put it on yesterday, but it's perfect so far.

Length:: 0:28 Mins

Getting our grill was the first pleasant surprise. Being far better than we had hoped, we were never expecting this cover to measure up. And I read from so many about the "mesh" rear as opposed to solid fabric? Maybe I am the very first to have a newer redesign?/ I made a very brief video just to show i have NO such "mesh'. I had assumed the mesh had to do with allowing any propane vapors to escape and not build up, thereby offering a safety measure? For whatever reason, ours is solid all the way around and fits like a glove. Has a very handy grab handle on top in matching fabric that makes snatching it off a breeze too. This cover is made in China but must be overseen by Weber during production as the quality of both the fabric AND workmanship is EXCELLENT. I would expect a fair price for this to be over $50.00 so this makes this cover far more than a bargain. I don't often give 5 stars but this time it is WELL deserved.

This review is from: Weber 6553 Premium Cover for Weber Q-300 Grill (Lawn & Patio)
I purchased the cover to go with my Weber Q grill and glad that I did. The material used on this cover is so much nicer then the old ones and has the ability to "breathe" so it doesn't create condensation on the grill.
The only negative is that you can not keep the side tables extended when using the cover and requires you to find another way to store utensils.
