The Weber Genesis is the gas grill that launched a thousand overpriced, overbuilt imitators. But theres a reason that many serious outdoor chefs stick with Weber: the brand is known for quality parts and construction. Properly cared for, a Weber grill will last a lifetime.
The Genesis Silver A features a 22,000 BTU-per-hour cooking system and two stainless steel burners run the length of the cookbox for even heating without hot or cold spots. Infinitely-adjustable, individually-controlled burner valves let you cook with direct or indirect heat. The primary cooking area, a warming rack, and warm-up basket provide 528 square inches of total cooking space--enough room to cook for parties and bigger groups. An electronic Crossover ignition system lights all burners in succession with the push of a button. Porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars eliminate flare-ups caused by lava rocks and ceramic briquettes--fats and juices hit the unique angled bars and sizzle away, adding delicious, smoky barbecue flavor instead of flames.
The Genesis Silvers durable construction includes a cast aluminum cookbox, fully-enclosed, robot-welded cart, porcelain-enamel cooking grates, and a rust-free porcelain-enamel steel hood. Rugged, weather-resistant wheels are crack-proof in the most extreme temperatures and allow easy transport. Locking casters prevent the grill from rolling while you cook.
This model also comes loaded with extras including: a condiment basket, four tool hooks, and a built-in thermometer. A swing-up work surface made from easy-to-clean, granite-look Thermoset holds marinades, sauces and plates while you grill. A slide-out bottom tray funnels grease into a removable catch pan for quick and painless clean-up. Also included is a 12-foot flexible hose to connect to a natural gas source. Best of all, ten fasteners are all that's needed to put this grill together, meaning you'll go from box to barbecue in less than 40 minutes. The Weber Genesis Silver measures 65 by 63 by 30 inches fully assembled. This item comes with a limited lifetime warranty, and is made in the USA. --Mary Park
Product Description
When we launched the Genesis gas grill line back in 1985, we launched more than a new line of grills- we launched a grilling revolution. The Genesis line changed the way gas grills work with a new and innovative cooking system that stopped flare-ups and created even heat without messy lava rocks. Our system was so good, it wasn't long before other brands tried to replicate it. Close, but no cigar. Weber's cooking system is still the best on the market, and here's why: Burneres made of high-grade stainless steel run the length of the cookbox, providing even heat accross the grill. --Flavorizer bars completely cover the burners, no holes or cutouts. They are precisely angled to generate heat and facilitate run off of juices that aren't vaporized. --A drip system for directing grease away from the burners. Drippings are channeled into a funnel shaped bottom tray under the burners and collect in a large drip pan. Both the funnel-shaped tray and the drip pan are easy to remove from the front of the grill. --At least two or more individually controlled burners for cooking direct or indirect. Burners have infinite control valves so you can fine tune the temperature. Genesis Silver gas grills include three model types---A, B, and C. A models have two burners, B models have three burners, and C models have three burners and a side burner. All models feature a fully enclosed cart with stainless steel doors and handles, granite-style thermoset work surfaces, Crossover ignition system, solid robot-welded carts, and a rust-resistant porcelain-enameled hood with built in thermometer. All natural gas models include a 12 ft. flexible hose. All models also feature a limited lifetime warranty.
