If you are as attached to outdoor cooking on Weber kettle grills as I am, you'll know that over time the peripheral parts will show their age: handle covers (less so now that they've changed from wood to plastic), cooking grates, charcoal grates and the one-touch cleaning system eventually succumb to heat and weather.

This is not a fault with these parts, just a testament to the long service life of the kettle and cover. The two kettles in my back yard are 15 and 10 years old; not pampered, they spend winters outdoors in the mid-Atlantic elements).

This is a replacement one touch cleaner for the 10-year old one. It fit perfectly, was reasonably priced, and will keep the grill moving towards its second decade of service.

We should age --and be refurbished-- so gracefully!

If your Weber's old vent-sweeper is as rusted as ours was, removing the old one may take some work (ours involved a Dremel cutting tool and a steel drill bit). But once it's done, it works like new.

The other thing they don't mention in the product description is that your testicles (or ovaries, depending) will instantly swell 30% in size, because you just fixed your own grill by hand rather than buying a new one.

We purchased this as a replacemnet part for our 22.5" Weber that was only 5 years old. It arrived when promised, fit perfectly and our Weber is back up and running.

Have a Weber prefomer from around 95. THE GREATEST grill ever made.Still can get parts will have the grill as long as I live.It makes evan me a great cook.

This was an exact replacement for the original unit bought thirty years ago. I would recommend this item to anyone interesting in keeping their Weber in top operating condition. Perfect fit and quick delivery.

This inexpensive part will give my One Touch kettle grill another 3-4 years of life, and I am delighted to find the part at Amazon and buy 2 there. My only complaint is that I needed directions on how to remove the old Cleaning System from the kettle grill, and none were included. I hope someone in charge will see my point and make a full set of instructions available with the pictured instructions. Thanks!

My 22" Weber Kettle Silver sits unprotected outside in the Northeast elements year round. After six seasons, the only issue was the rusted cleaning system. This item (7409 One-Touch Cleaning System), plus a little black enamel here and there brought my grill back to near-perfect condition. No worries about this part only fitting "pre-2000" grills or whatever the description says. It fits like the original and installs in a minute. The only trouble was getting the rusted original off the grill (which took five minutes with a hammer and bolt cutters; a dremel would be easier).

Works great! I highly recommend it - easy to install, and much cheaper than replacing the entire Weber Barbeque!

This is a major improvement compared to the old way of cleaning system. Amazon's service is very efficient and prompt.

This was pretty much a snap to install and was well worth the money as I didn't want to have to buy a new grill. The problem I had was removing the old system. I wound up using WD-40, a drill, a hammer, and a dremel. If I was to do it again, I would do it entirely differently. Get a pair of bolt cutters and simply cut off the old handle on both side, then file the edges down and drill out the center. It would have taken 5 minutes to remove instead of 30.
