Weber 7413 Work Table, fits Kettle Charcoal Grills

One of the few drawbacks, if you can call it that, of the Weber Kettle Grill is the lack of a shelf on which to place your food, cutting board or platters. I own the earlier wooden shelf that sits atop a frame fastened to one of the grill legs. It works well enough, but you can't easily remove the frame if you want to store the grill and you can't use a cover if the frame is attached.
Enter the Weber 7412 Work Table! The unit clips to the bowl and can be easily detached. The surface area is much larger than the earlier model too. The hard plastic construction assures that the table will stand up to even the most ardent grillers. The legs snap into place and can be easily removed for storage. One nice feature is that the table can be positioned anywhere along the grill bowl. This is accomplished by creating a cutout on the table that enables you to position it over one of the grill handles. The three pegs on the front of the table will hold your favorite tools too.
How much do I like this new accessory? I ordered a second one just before I wrote this review!! Now if it will only stop snowing....

This worktable fits perfectly on my 18.5" One Touch grill and it's the just the right surface area for plates and other cooking utensils. Very minor assembly required. Shipping time was quick. A great buy no doubt!

I have had a weber for 20 years and have always seen these tables around. I finally purchased one and am so happy with it. It's great, finally some place to set my food, instead of playing the balancing act. It's very sturdy and doesn't interfere with the lid catcher that I have on the side.

Finally, Weber gets it right and solves the one big flaw with their kettle bbqs, namely, the lack of a work space. Their first try, a little wooden cutting board that fit in a metal frame that you bolted to one of the legs, was so flimsy and wobbly that it was virtually unusable. This table is bigger, sturdier, and has extra hooks for hanging tools and such. The only drawback is that you have to keep taking it on and off if you want to use your standard Weber kettle cover, unless you're willing to shell out the extra money for a special cover that fits both.

The work table was large enough to fit a big plate and multiple condiments and utensils. The thick plastic was easy to clean. Definitely handy for this type of grill!

We bought this Work Table and it does its job great. It is very simple to assemble. The design of the mold-in side-hooks is ingenious, it keeps all the tools off the table with easy access. The working surface is durable and low maintenance. The table is very sturdy and stable and yet easy to remove if you do not want it. Overall, we are very happy with it. The only question is if someone has bought the cover for it. I have been looking in the Weber Performer grill cover, but are not sure how well it fits on the 18" grill with table?!

This work table is a great addition to my Weber grill. I have always needed a place to set my meat before and after grilling while tending to the grill's lid, vents, etc. This table is sturdy and generously sized (easily held my Thanksgiving turkey). Also useful for setting bowls of marinade & sauces, the transmitter for a wireless meat thermometer, and well suited for just about anything one might need while grilling. I highly recommend this product to any one with a Weber 18.5 or 22.5 charcoal grill.

PS Don't forget to get the Weber 7454 Vinyl Cover to keep your grill and new table out of the elements!

My husband loves this and so do I. This little attachable (and easily detached) table provides a nice amount of room to work and it cleans up beautifully.

It's a two legged table that snaps directly on to the grill. Be aware the table can't stand on it's own, and the grill is a bit of a chore to move on grass when the table is installed. It still is better than nothing though. But a real table is always better. Decent chinese quality, to be expected, I guess.

The table surface is made from very durable plastic, and it looks great attached to the grill. The table surface is roughly 22" by 15".

I have two complaints, however:

1) Once I attached it to the grill, I noticed that NEITHER of the table legs touched the ground. I am using the 22.5" grill, and am also using the including leg extensions that came with the table. Putting some weight on the table (hanging tools from it and putting a couple dinner plates on it) made one of the legs tough the ground, but the other one is perpetually lifted off the ground. I suspect that this might be due to some minor warping if the table plastic, and might just be a problem with the one I bought.

2) There is no way to move the grill once you have the table attached. This becomes a huge nuisance if your keep your barbecue somewhere other than the spot where you fire it up, because you will be constantly removing and re-attaching it. I may try to tie a string from a tool hook to the bottom of the front leg so that i can use the table as a handle to roll the grill around.
