Weber 7513 Warming Rack

I purchased a Weber Genesis 2000 BBQ Grill about 9 years ago. By and large it has proven to be a worthwhile backyard investment having produced literally hundreds of meals. However, while very sturdy, the warm-up rack and warm-up basket rusted rather early on. The rust does not come off using the wire brushes typically used to clear off the grill grates. Since we rarely place items like bread, buns and rolls in the the basket without wrapping them in foil first to provent them from burning quickly, the condition of the basket hasn't mattered much. The problem is that this also happens to the warm-up rack upon which we placed burgers, hot dogs, steak, chops, chicken, ribs, etc. Putting foil on the rack is necessary.

I replaced the basket and rack this spring simply for appearances. However, again, after just a few weeks the shine is gone and corrosion is setting in. Since food it being placed on these items, it would be much better if these items were made from non-corrosive metal.

So, if you're thinking of replacing the original warm-up rack and it's still quite sturdy, think twice before replacing; money may be better spent elsewhere... or not.

Purchased this warming rack after using Weber's part finder, but it's not a fit for Genesis Silver-A. This one measures 24" wide (without the pins). It looks like the correct fit is the shorter Weber model 3632. I figured out I had the Silver-A from the original operating manual, it's not on the grill.

Exact replacement, but that's the problem! I replaced this 2 years ago. They rust away so quickly. There must be a stainless one out there somewhere..

I purchased this item to replace the corroded old one in my Weber Silver B grill. Amazon offered the best price on the web for this replacement item.

I went out on a limb after I read the previous reviews and bought this rack. One review said that it fit his Silver A, and another said that it did not. It turns out that this one does NOT fit the older Weber Silver A. The rack is 24" with "pegs" that make it a full 25" wide. The older Weber Silver A, can only accept a rack that is a maximum of 23.25" wide with pegs longer than that (say 24").

There has been a lot of discussion in the reviews about fit of various replacement parts. This grate fit my ca 2003 Genesis Silver perfectly.

The precise length of the grate itself is 24"; The grate wires extend off the end, though, making the full length 24 7/8" So, if the "body" of your grill is about 24" wide, and no more than about 24 1/2" wide, this should fit.

Those wire ends are two to a side, and are 3" apart, which fit into the detents in the grill side.

This did not match the rack I wanted to replace. Instead of one clip on each side for hanging from the top inside of the grill this model came with two on each side.

The high rating is for Amazon's response when I went to return it. They credited my account and told me not to bother sending it back. Can't get much better than that.

Good replacement item for the original warming rack in your grill. Since these racks are made from steel, they rust out and need replaced after a few years. Ensure that you measure your warming rack to make sure that you are buying the correct one as sizes vary.

I have a Weber Genesis Silver B outdoor grill that has been aging beautifully over the last 8 years. Two years ago, the grill's output started getting to weaken so I decided to perform some maintenance by replacing the burner tubes and propane gas lines/regulator assembly.

This summer I decided to invest more in its maintenance by replacing both Weber 7526 Cooking Grate, the Weber 7536 Flavorizer Bars, Weber 7514 Warm-Up Basket, and the 7513 Warming Rack. After 8 years of use, this grill will continue to perform well with these additional replacements.

As for the 7513 Warming Rack, I expect more from Weber. The gauge of 'coated steel' is not as thick as the original warming rack. The new replacement is not as sturdy as it more flexible. I would have preferred if Weber would use a higher quality metal in this product. What I would really like is to have a porcelain/cast iron material warming rack. Stainless-steel would be fine - but why plated steel? I would be willing to spend more if available.

For the record, "Made of heavy-duty plated steel"(product description) does not apply to this product. It is not heavy duty at all.

The 7513 Warming Rack measures approximately 24 3/4 " end to end. The rack has a surface area 5" deep.

... but the grill looks awesome, and it received many compliments at last weekends bbq.

I always recommend Weber original replacement parts. This rack replaced the 6-year old original in my Weber Genesis Platinum C that had rusted. The warming rack was a perfect fit and highly recommended.
