Weber 7532 Cast Iron Griddle

I took a chance and purchased this griddle about 1 month ago and after using it several times I can highly recommend it. Prior to using it for cooking I seasoned the griddle with shortening. This is easy to do and you can find some very good websites on how to care for and use a cast iron griddle. Thus far I have cooked bacon, eggs and pancakes using this griddle with excellent results each time. It fits perfectly on my Weber E-310 gas grill.

This product is not for the 2011 Genesis E and S series! It is for the 2007-2010 Genesis E and S series. Amazon needs to update this page as I ordered the product and once it came in the mail there was a nice sticker on it with a picture of the 2011 model with a red X through it. The picture of the 2007-2010 model has a green check mark. Checked Weber's page and it states there that this model can not be used with the 2011 models. Amazon please update your page so others do not have to go through this hassle.

The same problem exists for the rotisserie for the E/S series (model 7519). It is also only for the 2007-2010 models.Weber 7519 Gas Grill Rotisserie

As far as I know there is currently no griddle available for the 2011 model (or 2011 rotisserie either).

OK, I should have believed some of the other reviews but I thought I would chance it. I ordered a 7532, the dimensions say 20.8 x 13.9 x 2, ok its not 2 inches thick and it actually measures 19-3/8 x 12-1/2 x 3/4. Amazon was great, they gave me instructions to send it back, then I ordered the Weber 7404, hoping it will be the size I want.....wrong answer, it says it measures 20.5 x 15 x 2 and it acually measures 19-1/4 x 11-1/4 x 3/4. Im sending it back too. I have emailed Weber a couple times and they have yet to reply......be careful what you order.

I do like using the griddle on my weber, especially if you like cooking breakfasts! The only downside is the rough side is difficult to clean, this is why it didn't get 5 stars from me. The coating over the cast iron does make it easier to care for, since normal cast iron needs to be conditioned and carefully taken care of.

Works great on my induction range. The griddle is big enough to cover the 12" lower-right burner which means I can use it on either side of my stove. Previously, I used the Lodge version but found it to be too narrow, the handles cut into the cooking area, and the side drip collector took up too much space. The Weber is great because of the wide cooking area, and the drip area is in a location that doesn't interfere with cooking. Mostly I use griddles for cheesesteaks.

Finally got a chance to try my griddle. I used it for a couple of cube steaks & toasted the bread & fried the onions & potatoes it worked great. The only problem I had to grind off the center horizontal rod on the stainless steel grate so that the griddle would lay flat into the grill. Not a big deal. I can't wait to do some pancakes & eggs & bacon. The price from AMAZON blew everyone else out of the water, was shipped EXTREMELY FAST.

This griddle fits my Weber S-330 perfectly. It din't come seasoned like LodgePro do, but it is not a problem at all. I did it myself and I can cook perfect food on it now. I've heard many complains from people about how hard a cleaning of cast iron is and that it adds extra work to keep it clean. I can say - it is wrong. The cast iron is the easiest material to clean if you know how. It doesn't require the use of wire brush and you even don't have to remove it from the grill to bring it back to like new condition.
If you are looking to get one and your grill is not 2011 Weber 300 series grill, do not go by Amazon dimensions in product descriptions. They are incorrect.

This a great addition to any Weber Grill. I now can cook everything on the grill in the summer. Great way to make breakfast.

Fits perfect on my 310 Weber grill. Makes great seared burgers. Only thought is that the surface is kind of rough making cleanup difficult. Otherwise, very pleased with purchase.

you will use your grill for a lot more types of cooking (pizza for example )
