Good but stainless is better,
This review is from: Weber 7536 Flavorizer Bars (Lawn & Patio)
I had these flavorizer bars for years on a Weber. Since 2002 I have gone through two sets. Both times they ended up disintegrating. These work well in helping to reduce flare ups, adding the creation of smoke from dripping juices to add more flavor, and help protect your burners from getting clogged up. The only downside is that the porcelain coating comes off after a few years which will lead to massive rust problems and you will need to replace them.
Tired of that I finally upgraded to the stainless bars which perform just as well but they don't rust. Save yourself a few bucks later by spending a little more if you can afford spending the extra $10-$15 on the stainless bars.

As we all know, the porcelain coated bars in our Webers are "consumables" - meaning they are expected to wear out in time and be replaced. What is easy to forget is the substantial effect these bars have on the flavor of your food. Waiting until your old bars have holes in them and are disintegrating is only harming the BBQ taste in your food. You'll taste that first hand as soon as you drop the new bars in. My advice? Don't wait. As soon as you start noticing erosion to the metal of the bars, replace them. You'll be rewarded with great BBQ taste, rather than food that tastes like it was baked in your oven.

I abandoned my Weber grill in 2004 due to a move and deployments with the Army. I decided a few weeks ago to refurbish it, as I had found it to be a great grill that was consistent in results. The grill was full of flaked paint, spiders, and crud... But the biggest problem I had was identifying what type of grill... ultimately the Weber site provided a step-step guide to determining correct parts. These flavorizer bars, at 22.5" are the right part for the Genesis Silver grill ( I now think mine is a "silver B")... great value from grady's and free shipping made the refurbishment the right move.
