Also good for the old Weber,

Did plenty of research and decided to try this one - I have the old Genesis Silver A. it worked really well. Cooked 2x5 lb chicken on the grill and done in about 1.5 hour. Definitely worth paying the price and order it on Amazon, best price and fast shipping.

The information in the Description is incorrect. The Rotisserie rod is about 3 inches too short - This unit will not fit the new Weber Genesis E-310 Grill. The Rotisserie you will need to order is Model # 7519 for the E310NG Genesis Grill. I called Weber to verify this information.Weber 7519 Rotisserie Kit for Genesis Grills 2007 and Newer - 7519Weber 7519 Gas Grill Rotisserie

We are very happy with the Weber 7252 Spirit Series Rotisserie. It is easy to install and is very quiet when running. We cooked a whole chicken and were quite pleased with the results. Be sure to have a meat thermometer available to ensure what you are cooking is done. We have a Weber Spirit E-320 propane Grill purchased this year to replace a 25 year old Weber Genesis.

The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that the cord is just way too short. It's about 2-feet long, resulting in you taking out your trusty old bright orange 50ft long power cord that will be bundled up next to the grill. I wish Weber wouldn't cut this corner to make a small profit margin, as simply adding 2-3 more feet will suit most users' cord needs. The motor is well made, along with the steel parts. I have used it about 7 times with no issues yet.

We have a Weber Genesis Silver gas grill. For the last 4-5 years, we've been using Weber's rotisserie model that is basket-shaped, but a large chicken is about the biggest thing we can fit in it. Bought this to accommodate larger cuts of meat/turkey. It arrived the Saturday before Thanksgiving so we gave it a trial run before the turkey - cooked a 7 lb pork shoulder.
Results: 1. Fits the Genesis Silver grill perfectly 2. Easy to use - assembly was a snap and putting the meat on the skewer and adjusting end clamps was straightforward 3. Cooked the meat beautifully! Best pork I've ever had - crunchy on outside, meltingly smooth interior 4. Cleanup is MUCH easier than the basket-type model - this is a simple skewer with two end-clamps. Basket has lots of surface and nooks/crannies to clean. 5. Bonus - the motor assembly for this rotisserie is the same as for the basket-type model, so now we have a backup motor. Can't speak to reliability - haven't had it long enough - but the basket-type has been pretty reliable. My husband opened the motor assembly once and fixed something small a couple of years in.

I've used mine a few times and it is certainly up to the task. BUT, I have a Spirit 200 grill and it is just too small/shallow to cook a normal sized or large bird without making sure it is tied up tightly. I take the grates out to use the rotisserie and, if a wing pops out from its neatly tucked in position, it drags on the flavorizer bars which I ultimately take out. To the credit of the rotisserie, it knocks the flavorizer bars off rather than getting stuck. Other reviews note that the cord is rather short. Frankly, I appreciate not having to store x feet of cord in a kitchen cabinet- but I would likely need an extension cord regardless of the length provided. The chickens I have cooked on it have always turned out beautifully. If you have a decent sized Weber with a little more girth than my 200, go for it. It is a solid product.

Two thumbs up. EXACTLY what I wanted and EXACTLY as advertised. Expensive? Probably. Worth it to me? Priceless.

Good but a few issues,

The product is good but there are a few issues concerning the geometry. The spit installation is just a few inches above the grill grates. If you need to cook something larger (ie a whole chicken) you will need to take the grates out, cook the item, then put them back in and cook something else. If the item is not too wide then you may be able to slide the item to one side of the spit so that you may be able to use the other side for the grates but this is a problem due to the tines and connection to the grill. Should have designed a higher mount for the motor and spit on the grill.
Update: The motor has failed. Not sure why and returning the thing is a real pain as it has been 4 months since I have had it.

I am delighted. The rotisserie arrived really fast. It was as described and the price and availability was great. I am very happy. I have already used it multiple times and every time the results were fabulous.

I purchased one of these about six months ago and it worked well on about ten 5 or 6 pound chickens. The eleventh chicken had to be chopped-up and grilled because the motor just QUIT. I replaced the cheap Weber motor with the OneGrill stainless motor available on Amazon. Works great and allows you to use the parts of the Weber Rotisserie that is still usable.
