I already have three Webers (all charcoal) a WSM, "silver" model kettle and a Smokey Joe. I believe that they are the best cooking charcoal grills and smokers available. The kettle can cook ribs or chicken low and slow or sear a steak to perfection. So what if the new one is yellow and has Homer Simpson on it, it has all the same features as the other "gold" models and only costs 60 bucks. I bought the latest one because of two features I believe are going to be very handy, the hinged grill and the ash catcher. My old "silver" model is somewhat of a pain to empty the ashes from and they usually end up all over the deck. Make sure you buy a Weber chimney lighter with your new grill and don't ever use lighter fluid again. If you really want to know how to use your new Weber you should visit WWW.virtualweberbullet.com. I didn't really need a new Weber kettle, as my 10 year + model still grilled fine, but when I saw the Simpsons model I HAD to have it!

I must say that Weber has made a great product even better. The new ash catcher is a big improvement, and this model even comes with the hinged cooking grate (for long-cooking turkeys & such).

But more importantly, this grill is a beauty. The yellow color is just right, not too bright, and the blue handles are the color of Marge's hair. The graphic with Homer and a skewer of food is well done and is not a decal; it is baked in the enamel. Delivered in a box with a special Simpsons label, this is a must have for Simpsons fans or anyone looking for a quality grill. Good job, Weber!

I just got the Simpson Edition grill over the holidays. I feel happy as a kid. I put a One-Touch Gold kettle on my wish list because of the grill's ash-catcher. I want to cook with charcoal from time-to-time, but I hate cleaning up the mess after cooking.

I'm delighted with the One-Touch Gold grill! The grill cooks superbly, and it's really convenient to own. You can leave it out for a few days with the lid on top, and there's no muck to scrape out after it rains. When you do dump the ashes, you won't get dirty or spill. It's great. It's not much of an extra effort to use the kettle than a gas grill. Using a Weber chimney to start the fire helps.

There seems to be a big bump in the price mark-up for the Gold kettle compared to the Silver, - though the Simpson Edition on Amazon is a terrific deal. I'd argue that the Gold model at retail seems to be value-priced rather than cost-priced. It's worth it, I think.

I have a Weber Genesis gas grill sitting next to my One-Touch Gold. I like grilling. I grill all year long despite rain, sleet, or snow. The Genesis is great, but it's been dormant for a few weeks. I've been playing with my new kettle. Well, no one at the table is complaining, even if they think I'm a little nuts.

My results with charcoal using the Weber kettle are FANTASTIC, right out of the box. What helped me is that the recipe booklet's cooking time recommendations were good for everything I've tried so far. The look, aroma, and taste of the food has been great.

I love my new Homer Simpson Grill. The assembly was a bit difficult especially the legs. I found that if you swipe just a dap of vaseline on the leg tip it slides into the receiver very easily. Since you can't hammer, twist or wriggle the legs. It was very frustrating until I used the vaseline.

I've used a Smokey Joe Charcoal Grill for over ten years with great results. When I needed a bigger grill I used the fire box in my offset smoker. But I needed a dedicated grill for the new house as the Kitchen and its deck are on the second floor. I had used a one touch Gold at a friend's house as they turned over the grilling to me and I was very impressed. Quality is top notch and it should last a very long time. The enameled body is guaranteed for five years but I've used the smaller model hard for longer than that without signs of wear. The picture of Homer in his Kiss the Chef apron is a bonus for a Simpson's fan. You can spend thousands more for a propane grill but the results will never be better and IMO real lump Charcoal is the only way to grill food. I would wash the oil off the fire grate and fire it up once before use to get that new smell out of it, adding a little hard wood for smoke is always a bonus. My one and only issue with the Smokey Joe is you need to remove all the grates and turn it upside down to remove ash with the One Touch Gold that is a thing of the past. There are more expensive models but unless you are getting something bigger than 22 1/2" this is all you need. The shape of the Classic Weber kettle reflects heat in and is superior to other shapes IMO. The only thing better is a Ceramic grill with a very similar shape and they cost a whole lot more money.

My husband did his first turkey on the Homer Secial Edition Weber grill I got him for his birthday. It was spectacular! Raves! It really is a magnificant cooking device. The directions in the book were excellent and everything went picture perfect.
The downside on the experience was that it took three grills before we got one that was not damaged. The Packaging really isn't adequate for the UPS shipping system.

Best part is, it is a Weber Gold just like any other Weber Gold out there (one-touch ash cleaning system, grill grate with opening sides, 397 sq in., etc.), so you can customize it based on all the different Weber accessories out there! Get this grill, then get the charcoal side baskets, the chimmney starter, and the deluxe cover!

Simplicity, beauty, performance, quality and durability. My mother-in-law grills with her Weber twice a week, 10 months a year. She's had 3 in 33 years -- that's pretty good quality, I'd say. Clean up is easy -- the ashes collect in the bottom of the unit -- and you can buy "Weber's Big Book of Grilling" for great recipes

The enamel on steel housing is beautiful, sturdy and easy to clean. The only thing my mother-in-law says she has to do from time to time is replace the grill surface, which can rust over time (years).

All in all -- the best grill out there, and you can't beat the price, either.

This is the best Charcoal grill we've ever owned. I always thought charcoal grills were all about the same. The Simpson edition is soo cute. It took about 20 mins to put together. This one heats up so quickly and gets sooo hot. You use less charcoal than other grills. All the guys were so impressed with the grill.Highly recommend this grill !

This is the coolest collectors item I have seen and a great gift to give a huge Simpson's fan I bought it for my father for Father's Day and he absolutley loved it, It also adds a little bit more fun to the summers and grilling.
