After a month of use this cover is already ripping in a couple of places. Great grill, lousy cover.

I'm rating this product a 5 stars under the belief this is a later rev of the product. The earlier rev is thin and does not have velcro straps to secure the bottom. Without the straps, the cover will blow off in slightly windy situations (cover is very light).

How do I know this? I bought the earlier rev. It blew off and the corner of the grill tore the cover. Fortunately, Weber's customer service is outstanding and probably aware of the poor design. As a result, they sent me a later rev free of charge (no shipping charges to/from). The new rev had the design flaws corrected and is top quality. Would definitely recommend the cover. It keeps the dirt, etc off the grill. Also, it's ventilated. Although the grill is mostly stainless steel and plastic, don't want the other parts to rust.

I have an older Genesis Platinum, and it's been very hard to find a cover that fits. This works, and is of very high quality. Also, Ed Young's is a great place to deal with!

I bought the original Premium 9954 grill cover for my Platinum II 3400 grill in 1998. It fit the grill exactly and had a heavy rubber coating and lasted 9 years. They quit making it so bought the 7555 which was the only one big enough to fit it. It was cheap vinyl and only lasted 3 years. I now bought the new cheapened up still called Premium 9954 that they are making. It doesn't fit as good as the original, is vinyl with a cloth backing, and looks like it will last 3-4 years. What happened to quality and customer satisfaction? Make it cheap overseas and make a huge profit.

I bought a 2005 Genesis Platinum B and searched for a grill cover. I finally found the one you need for this grill. I bought a 9859 Weber grill cover. According to the insert in the package this cover is for Genesis Silver C (2-5500), Genesis Gold B & C, Genesis Platinum B & C (2005 models). Webers web site did not have this updated information on it. I was at Home Depot and they had all the covers. I bought this one and it fits perfect. It is a heavy cover with velcro adjusters on the bottom. The velcro adjusters don't allow you to get super tight but so far it has been good enough. I'm pleased with it. It cost me $60 though.
