5.0 out of 5 stars EP310 = Awesome Grill!, July 10, 2009
This review is from: Weber 3742301
I conducted a long and tired research campaign regarding which grill to purchase. The Webers are costly, but how many off brand grills will you buy in the 10+ years that Weber warranties their product?
Do right by yourself and spend a few extra bucks and buy this grill. I soecifically purchased the EP model as it has stainless steel grates, etc.
There are a number of choices regarding Weber's line of grills, don't complicate things, keep it simple. Do you need a side burner or rotisserie? Not me.
Do you need a huge grill? Only if you cook for large groups on a weekly basis. I just had 15+ people for the 4th of July- cooked ribs and Kobe steaks and it worked great!

-Even cooking
-Great searing (get's up to 600+ degrees fast)
-Cooks food fast!!!
-Lot's of grill space
-Looks great
-Well constructed
-Warranty for 10 years
-Best grill I've ever owned

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Grill Far Superior to Other Brands, August 2, 2010

My parents have the Weber EP-310 in the copper color and it is far and away the best grill I've ever used. The copper color is different but looks really nice. Normally I would do a pros and cons list, but honestly I have zero cons for this grill.

Now, you can spend $200 every 3 years or so and get a new shiny Char-Broil or Brinkmann with side burners, lights and all that fancy stuff that you rarely use. Or you can spend $700 or so and get a Genesis GRILL knowing it will last you 15+ years. After closely examining this grill, I see nothing that will go wrong with it.

Some examples of these are:
- stainless burners
- stainless burner shields (flavorizer bars as they call them)
- battery powered electronic igniter
- stainless grates
- porcelain enamel coated hood and body.

These are the 5 items that fail (in the order listed) within a few years on the cheaper grills. On the Weber, these items have a minimum 5 year warranty and up to 25. Honestly if you take care of it, I see no reason why all of these components won't outlive the warranty without an issue. Now onto the functionality of this grill.

The grill preheats and gets hot fast (up to 500 deg in 5 minutes, 700 deg in under 10) which is great for searing. The knobs are heavy, well made, easy to control and turn. It ignites immediately with the electronic ignition, not like those push button igniter that never work. All it takes is a battery. The cooking is absolutely even on this grill, there is not a single hot or cold spot. It is almost impossible to get a flair up as well. When grease falls onto the flavorizer bars, it may ignite for a quick flash but immediately goes out. The shelves are strong and sturdy, and the grease collector is great and simple to use. When the tray fills up, simply empty it and you're good to go. Once more wonderful feature is the tank scale. It works wonderfully and always lets you know exactly how much LP you have left. The LP tank is also concealed under the grill behind the doors, and aesthetical plus.

If you're looking for a new grill that won't destroy your budget, I highly recommend this or any of the Genesis series. Much cheaper than the Summit series, a little more than the Spirit series but much higher quality. Wonderful grill that will last, looks great, and for those of you who care is made in the USA with a great warranty.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best LP grill ever., April 6, 2010
This review is from: Weber 3742301
I own a Big Green Egg, and I believe there is nothing better than that for true BBQ. Most of the time I just want to grill, and the BGE is not user friendly for that.
Don't be afraid to spend the money upfront for a great product. If you want a better than cheap grill, go with the Spirit series, but if you want a great grill, go with the Genesis. The 320 has a side burner (+$50) and the 310 does not. The E series has cast iron grates and the EP has 7mm stainless steal.

I own a stove, but wanted the best grill. I bought the EP-310 for $699. I love it, love it, love it. Heats even, sears great, and controls temp great.

If you really want great outdoor cooking, use the Big Green Egg and Weber Grill.
