5.0 out of 5 stars Here's the length!
Length is 16"

Just got them (took a chance without knowing the length, seems like a critical piece of info to omit in the description Amazon). Nice grips, nice looking steel, and a catch to hold them closed for dishwasher or storage. Well, done, Weber!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad
I have another set of barbecue tongs which are similar to these but have a sturdier release. However, these seem to work fine and overall I'm happy with them. They are just a little more difficult to operate one-handed than my other set.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really big tongs, June 24, 2007

I gave this item a five star rating because of its high quality and bargain price. I have been using ordinary kitchen tongs with my Weber BBQ grill for years and bought this pair as a step up to a "professional grade" tool. I might have overdone it just a little. These well made tongs are huge and rather cumbersome for turning a hotdog or an ear of corn on the grill. The tongs would work just fine with a rack of ribs or a huge steak, but I seldom cook that large. I now know that I probably didn't need professional grade tongs. However, you serious outdoor chefs would really like these things.

These tongs are great! Nice and long, easy to use, light weight, look good and pretty easy to clean. My only minor complaint is that they lock closed sometimes on accident, but very minor. Highly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tongs with attitude, December 25, 2007
This review is from: Weber Style 18702 Professional-Grade Chef's Tongs (Lawn & Patio)
These are really nice. I like that the hanging loop is narrow for closely spaced hooks (like on the Performer grill). Pulling the loop, as when hanging it, locks the tongs shut for compact storage.

They are a little lighter weight than the rest of the tools in the Style line, and are not as curvy. Nothing to stop you from buying them, but they could be a little heavier, and it would be nice if they had that "carved out of a solid block of alloy" look that the rest of the line has. Harder to do with something that has moving parts like this, I suppose.

yes they may be 430 steel but a critical demension has to be the length, yet it is not listed any where in the product description.
