I run an IT business. This is the same product I recommend my clients install on their PC. I use it on all the computers in both my home and office.

What's great is it does not eat up resources like McAfee or Norton do. In other words, it will not slow down your computer as much.

It updates itself multiple times a day with new virus definitions. It allows you to customize just about every aspect, but you can also have it set everything up for you if you do not want to fine tune it.

This has been the best Antivirus and Spysweeper for me. I just installed it on my new ASUS laptop. It will prevent any virus from attacking your computer while using your Internet sites. Just be sure to set up a schedule to sweep every week. I have Windows 7 and I didn't have any problem installing this. I was very pleased with the delivery time. Seller did a great job of sending it out.

I find it great.. it won't slow down your computer and actually let's you know when it does check ups!

Purchased the Anti-Virus and attempted to install it the same day. It's probably wonderful anti-virus protection if you can install it. Received error 100 the first attempt. After several attempts to install without success I called the support line. If I wanted to pay a fee I would receive immediate attention. If not I could hold for 30 minutes. After several attempts to get the problem resolved it is still not installed. Good luck to future users.

Years ago we had Webroot Spyware software. We were happy with it. When they made the switch mixing both spyware and anti virus together, the reviews were not all that great so we made the switch to another product.
Checking out Webroot anti virus with spyware, 2010, the reviews seem to show it was one of the better ones on the market for the price. Bought it and installed it on three of our home computers, all with XP home edition. All with always connected cable internet. A month has now gone by.
While both the anti virus and the spyware appear to do a good job, what is a problem is the automatic updating of the definitions. You are given two choices here if not using a proxy server which we are not. The two options are to get definitions once a day, or hourly. Only one of the computers will get the definitions all by itself. Even then, it is a hit and miss no matter which option is used for updating. The other two computers will not update no matter which option is used. They will update fine if we do it manually. They just have will not update on their own.
Reading more about this product on the web, I have learned where this has been an issue with others as well. Contacting their customer service has proved to be most aggravating. All we get is the automatic response saying we should except to hear back with an answer in 24 hours. Never have heard back and we have sent out several letters to Webroot. Each time, receiving the automatic response but there it stops.
There is also a problem with a delay in starting up the program when booting up. Shutting down has also been a problem, we get the message that it is not responding and have to use the "end now" command to shut down the computer.
As far as easy of use goes, for a person with limited computer skills, it is pretty much fool proof. Unless you have problems with updates that is. The options are rather limited to what you can and can not do. So if you are one of those who likes to get under the hood, you will be in for a let down.
Right now, when our one year term is up, we will not renew with Webroot. Just too BUGGY.

I had McAfee security installed on my system and was invaded by malware.exe. McAfee tech support was of absolutely no help.

Via various methods I managed to eliminate most of the problems but something still was not right. I went online and tried no less than 6 of the top antivirus programs and all said my system was fine.

I accidently happened upon Webroot Antivirus with Spy Sweeper and tried their free search. It found a whole host of problems the others had missed. I purchased the software which is good for 3 computers (which is good because that's how many I have) for only $27. It cleaned up all 3 computers. From time to time on my scan it still will pick up some unexpeted problems and eliminate them.

I love this product as it does what it is supposed to do where 6 of the top competing products did not.

My first computer got a virus and the anti virus I used to have could not get rid of it, I was told that might be a spy that regular antivirus software can not get rid of it. I had to pay 150 USD to fix the problem but my old computer has been slow and not as good as it used to be, I had to buy another computer . After that disaster I decided to get antivirus with spysweeper I have been using Webroot for two years, and it cleans all the threats and keep your computer safe. It is worth every penny.. the peace of mind. Thank you Webroot for this excellent product. I buy from Amazon and usually i do not write reviews, but this time i felt i need to share my experience to help others.

I installed the software and it slowed my Gateway Netbook to the point of it being useless. I tried the Web support and was hopeful when I got an em telling me: "We believe that we have diagnosed your issue and are sending you a suggested solution." My enthusiasm quickly waned when I read the so called solution: "Please call 1-866-612-4227 Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm MT and one of our agents will be able to assist you." Nevertheless I dutifully called, and was told that as one of the unfortunate users who try to get free assistance the waiting time would be 25mn. At that point I gave up. If anybody knows how to exersice the "30-day money back guarantee" my em is "louisyp@aol.com".

I got this for my 2 year old laptop that is in ok shape a last year and it is so awesome! It does exactly what it said it does. It actually saved my pc a couple times from virus attacks! I love webroot and i always will.

Wouldn't it be nice if one product did it all. Not. Webroot does a good job of bad website blocking.

Webroot did Email me back promptly after my computer was hit hard by a multiple fake antivirus proucts attack. Webroot didn't detect much in this case, and the first step was to update to the newest version (doesn't happen automatically), which was free, and it found a little more. They laid out the process of continuing to work with them (free or pay) to completely remove the infection. What comes in a box is often not the latest, as opposed to donloading from the website, which in this case would have cost much more, and with them gets really screwy. Order one thing and everything they sell shows up in the total, and you have to remove what you don't want. Huh?

Unable to access much in the computer, fortunately Windows Defender (had thought it to be a waste until now) found the bug that was blocking msconfig, task manager, and much more. The bug had put in a proxy server to block Internet, but Opeera suggested that may be the problem, and turning it off was easy, with the same process for IE7. Couldn't have gone to a website, but mail, updates, etc were working. Several free products were accessed or installed, including AVG, Spybot, Adaware, Superantivirus, Ccleaner and Hijack This.

Each product found a little more but none would have done it all. For this bug, Adaware, which was applied last, found the seed that was reincarnating the bug, and probably should have been applied earlier. Many scans later it was all gone.

Regarding Webroot, I have been using it for a long time and it has done plently of eradication. For the price, I'll keep using it, and wouldn't expect it or any other product to completely handle what just bit me. I originally started with them when they were the only product that was able to detect and kill a bug I had a long time ago.
