ChildSafe is a computer monitoring utility that runs in the background, completely hidden, enabling parents to watch as much or as little of their children's computer and Internet activity as they wish. ChildSafe 3.0 now contains a blocking function that allows parents to block specific Web sites with a single mouse click. The software also allows parents to capture screen shots of what is being viewed, and store them as a graphic file. Parents can even set the software to take screen shots at predetermined intervals and then have them sent to an e-mail account for supervision away from home.

ChildSafe can be configured to monitor all keystrokes, programs used, and sites visited on the Web, and has the ability to display a warning message when a computer is turned on, a screen saver stops, or when the Internet is being accessed. Before being able to proceed, the user must click the Agree button, ensuring they are aware of the policies regarding use of the computer.
